Hi,
I just started playing league again (Stopped working on my computer for some reason) and I would like to start playing ranked! Obviously, I need to practice with the champs in Meta, so I would like to know which ones to play as top lane champs, and what masteries to use. Also, what Masteries should I use for
?
ßurst1 votesYou can see which champs are strong in each lane by looking at nerplz strongest champs tier list usually the god tier champs are the ban worthy ones.

is a good top laner. lifesteal. his ult is immunity to CC. a ranged move and he can pick up what he threw to reduce the cooldown. oh. and every 1% of missing HP he has he gets 1% extra attack speed. spent 3K gold on that like 30-50% atk speed boost? can get it in an average pokefest.
Martensitic1 votesThe lie that you have to play Meta champs to be successful is one of the reasons why so many people are stuck in Silver.
SolomonSlays1 votesThen why do the pros play Champs in meta?
Martensitic1 votesBecause they play as a well trained team of 5, with and against the best players in the world.
Example:
If someone tried to play Akali in pro play, he gets smashed...carries are protected, and a squishy toplane assassin simply is expected to strike at them, gets CClocked and destroyed.
If I do the same in soloQ on my smurf, the adc is not protected, their jungle is not adequatly warded, and the tank (who would be supposed to start the CC chain) is busy chasing some kill...so I flank, blow up one carry, reset with zhonyas, kill another, and win the fight.

They MAKE the meta. The meta is based on copying pro players. Hence why MF Support was a plague for a bit, even though it was only played for one reason and as a very precise counter to Zyra.
It's just the nature of this game. I main
, and he's considered extremely out of meta, but no one would ever define him as weak either.
