Good Main for a NOOB THAT WANTS TO GET OUT OF BRONZE

SolomonSlays··1 votes·1,701 views

I use Udyr Jungle and Renekton Top, I also like playing Ezreal ADC, but Im super inconsistent. Any tips for playing these champs or good builds? Also, if there's another champ I should try playing please comment it down below! Thanks!

Check out my match history. Sometimes my trash scores are due to me being on my phone for part of the game while Im playing so I get distracted, but help would be appreciated!

Darius decent in high elo. An absolute fucking pubstomper in low elos if you can get proficient with him (his kit is mechanically relatively easy)

SolomonSlays1 votes

People always ban him though ;-;

Kayle

in build arpen and mpen, powerful slow on low cd, easy to kite melees, tons of sustain and a free get out of jail card, invunerability to either urself or a fed carry, a beast at splitpushing ( best waveclear in game ) can melt entire teams and has great scaling

like the other guy said darius is great too but a lot easier to bully and useless if behind

SwaggyMcGhee4201 votes

Kayle's too item dependent for bronze players unless they snowball early.

Wombo Jax1 votes

But kayle isnt snowball dependent. If you are ahead you go melt teams but if ur not you utilise your superior waveclear and the slower pace of bronze games to get your farm up really quickly

i just think ur a bit wrong over there but it could just be me :]

something like jax or wukong is extremely item dependent. For bronze if ur bronze/silver level u want something that

1: Scales strong into late game because bronze games last long (had a 72 minute bronze game the other day) 2: Easy to use 3: Hard to counterpick, a strong first pick 4: Useful even when behind

Very few things fit into all of these categories. Ryze scales, strong pick top an useful even when behind, but is a bit harder to use Malphite is subject to getting counterpicked pretty hard so he has 1 2 and 4 jax has 1 2 and 3 but is one of the most useless champions when behind honestly the only thing i can really reccomend is chogath but you must understand the pick you take in bronze has minimal impact. You can climb to diamond using pretty much anything decent. There is nothing 'OP' that is why patches exist. The best way to climb out of bronze is to get better at the game

Im bronze and learning, and i honestly could not be happier ( started league in feb )

SwaggyMcGhee4201 votes

From my experience in bronze, most top laners have trouble farming throughout the whole game, but you're right, I didn't think about the fact that they have trouble grouping and ending, which allows a late game carry like Kayle to farm and solo carry.

What are you talking about ? I got out of Bronze using Kayle.

SwaggyMcGhee4201 votes

Then chances are you didn't deserve bronze.

Dukues1 votes

eh man just looking at your stats I think you might be stuck in bronze for awhile. Not trying to be mean but it looks like you still new to the game. (sorry if I am wrong not sure if you have a lot of normal wins or not).

Bronze honestly just = inexperienced. I would say stop playing adc right now while you keep learning the game. Um jungle is technically the best role to rank up on. But the key is understanding what you should be doing. Now there are tons of Youtube videos out there that will show you how to jungle at diamond/master/challenger level etc. I am only gold but these are some things I started focusing on and it has really helped me with ranking up while playing jungle this season.

  1. cs/farm is important in lanes, as well as in the jungle. You have creep camps in your jungle that are just waiting to be killed. I read yesterday ideally you want to clear 1-2 camps in between ganks. Now sometimes there will not be opportunities to gank and sometimes enemies will be really low and easy kills where you want to gank. It all comes with experience but remember to clear jungle camps instead of only trying to gank lanes. a. Look for opportunities to cover lanes for your teammates. If your mid laner backs and minions are pushed to the turret go mid and kill the minions since your mid lane won't get that cs anyways. When they start returning and the wave reset go on your way. Do same for top and possibly bot lanes.

  2. https://champion.gg/ you can use this site to lookup builds. It shows most used and highest win rate builds/items/masteries/ used by players Plat+.

  3. Map awareness. Try to look at your map more instead of just staring at the jungle camps you killing. You can see how far pushed the enemy top/mid/bot lanes are so you have an idea of where to gank. You can also maybe see the enemy jungler for the opportunity to counter gank or have an idea where they are on the map. Playing jungle is like playing chess verse the enemy jungler. Its about finding out where they are and then deciding what to do with that information. You see him ganking top while your team is bot around dragon? Perfect, that's a free dragon for your team. You see him heading top to gank but his blue or red buff just re spawned? You should be able to invade and grab his buff and maybe some other jungle camps for free.

  4. I can't really describe jungling that well on here. I would say just lookup some jungling videos and try and learn from them. Honestly the videos might be overwhelming so just try and implement a few things at a time. I know I watched a video a few months back that showed a priority list that was really overwhelming for me. So i just took a couple things from and and focused on those and now am ready to start focusing on some new things.

As far as junglers... not really sure what to suggest. Usually tanky jungles like Amumu or Sejuani are pretty useful and easy to learn. I just started playing jungle Graves and really loving it. Not sure if it would be classified as easy or not. Doesn't seem too bad but it is different compared to playing other champions with some cc.

But yea if you going to continue playing adc or top then one thing you really need to work on is your cs. Right now looks like its between 3.5-4/cs min while laning. This is really low. Now I am no where close to pro and just noticed over the last month my cs usually between 6-8 depending on the game. Probably averages out around 6.5/min which is still low for adc and other lanes, but it seems fine for a low gold/silver level. There is way more to the game than just csing, but your cs numbers in recent games in top and adc is really low so just figured I would let you know that is one thing to focus on.

Alright perfect. You jumping into ranked fairly quickly, but that's fine. just ignore the toxicity and focus on learning and playing your best each game. Honestly Udyr is a good jungler i just have no idea how to play him. He is a really good jungler though. Easy to clear camps and control objectives. Great for pushing lanes. Can chase down players and run away easily. Does lots of damage with some cc and can also be tanky. He is not my style, but I have definitely seen him carry many games.

SolomonSlays1 votes

I've only been playing for 4 months. JUST READ THE WHOLE THING: I will try to master jungling and then try to start learning top a bit better. Thank you for the help. Ill try Amumu jung since I have him. :D

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

Amumu Annie Ashe Garen Kayle MasterYi Nunu Poppy Ryze Singed Sivir Soraka Warwick

there's a reason why those champs are 450 ip. they're starter champs to help you get used to playing the game. learn them all at the very least. they're super easy to play. some can actually be very powerful in the right hands. master yi for example.

420 grams1 votes

Master Yi isn't in a very good spot right now and takes too long to be powerful

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

he's not gimmicky. if this person wants to learn how to play the game and be good at the game they need to play champs like master yi. spending all of their ip on ekko only to find out that they dont understand how to use him is pointless.

Immortal spax3 votes

Poppy, Nunu, Singed, Ryze and Kayle arent noob champ, you need some mechanics and a lot of game knowledge to play them at 100%.

BLACK REALM GOD2 votes

not really. the game knowledge required to play them is minimum at best.

no you wont be mlg pro lcs worlds 1 shotting baron with poppy's hammer but those champs are basic in their kits.

poppy teaches you what's considered a dash. teaches you when to use abilities and that sometimes it's better to run than fight.

nunu has a built in smite. teaches players when to engage. promotes jungle camp value.

singed teaches players how to maneuver around their opponent and how to manage their resources.

ryze got a rework and now he teaches the player the importance of teamwork and timing through ability stacking - he's a way easier version of leblanc taric and bard.

kayle teaches the player how to attack control their attacks and manage buffs. she teaches a player EVERYTHING they need to know about the keyboard. literally.

master yi teaches players how to chase down low hp targets as an assassin

warwick teaches about on hit effects.

soraka teaches the importance of a healer and map awareness

garen teaches the player that there are other resource types

sivir teaches the player how to chain together autos while re positioning

amumu teaches about auras

annie teaches about minion control through tibbers and how to count.

ashe teaches about the importance of vision and kiting.

they're all very simple and can be used to teach new players a LOT about the game.

Immortal spax1 votes

The one that i listed are too hard to play.

Poppy is a vanguard tank, that means she is meant to peel for her carries, you can easily understand that this isnt possible, you want a engage tank pick Malphite.

To play Kayle effectively you need to kite and have good positioning.

Ryze's powerspike is at lvl 11, when he have his ult at lvl2 and atleast 3 items, not to mention that you have to riproduce his combo perfectly.

Singed and Nunu are the champs who requires the biggest game knowledge in the game. With one you should proxy, but you can easily fail amd give first blood. The other should counter jungle and secure objectives, he dont have a good ganking potential.

As you can see they are to difficult for a medium bronze player.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

if you cant play those champs at their basic level you dont need to be playing ranked. its that simple.

those champs give you everything you need to win a match. all of the newer more expensive champs just combine it in different ways.

once again you're making something that is easy sound hard when it's not. they're not hard. there's nothing hard about pressing buttons and knowing when to press said buttons. rek sai, graves, kassadin, lucian, rengar, zed, shen, akali, etc. those are difficult champs to play. the 450 ip champs are not difficult. not even close.

Immortal spax1 votes

There is a diference between being able to play them, and play them effectively.

To play them effectively you need good decision making and game knowledge, thing that in low elo people can lacks.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

A couple of things im trying to point out that you're ignoring or overlooking.

  • 1 players in bronze need to know how to play those champs

  • 2 those champs do not require ridiculous amounts of knowledge to use them semi-effective in bronze and still win.

  • 3 those champs bring everything to the table that a team could possibly need and will get you to silver just by their design alone.

  • 4 they're not expensive to own

Immortal spax1 votes

There are 1350 and 3250 champs more easy to play and more effective.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

yes, but those champs also require more IP which means more time invested and will hinder overall growth of the player if the player doesnt understand the basic fundamentals of the game and will then become a "one trick" player.

it's way way way way more efficient to buy the 450 IP champs first and learn them and that way you'll have developed a diverse understanding of the game and you'll never have to deal with the whole auto-fill/ban situation because you dont have enough champs. the OP named 3 champs, but there are 6 roles and 5 lanes. 3 champs will not cover all of those. neither will 4 or 5 champs. a large pool of champs is needed. for marksman jinx is fun and easy, but she's also 6400 IP. same thing with illaio and ekko. all fun and strong, but it's not worth the IP when you're just starting out.

DeathBurst1 votes

A lot of these champs aren't good for noobs. And even among the mechanically simple ones, some require a great deal of game knowledge to be used efficiently (Singed, Nunu).

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

no. they dont. proxy singed isnt required to win and neither is counter jungling nunu. they're just more efficient because of how old the champs are players have had a chance to become far greater at playing them than any new person would ever be able to consider. they're still just as simple.

DeathBurst2 votes

Yes, they do. They are balanced around the fact that the optimal way to use them is proxying/split-pushing and counter-jungling. And anyway, they are atypical champs that requires you to understand the game well in order to do the right choice in a team-fight. Running at the carries isn't the right choice 90% of the time.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=405&v=ZOpT__qwjdQ

that video is like 5 years old

still exactly the same gameplay. new items, masteries, and runes and his abilities have been tweaked but it's the exact same gameplay. you just run back and forth in the lane soaking up damage. you dont have to go behind enemy turrets to soak up gold. that's an advance technique that needs a pregame strategy to work and is unneeded in bronze. every champion has advanced techniques exactly the same as singed that are not needed in bronze. bronze players should know how to navigate and play all of the 450 ip champs. there's no reason why they cant play those champs if they're in ranked.

CerealBoxOfDoom1 votes

ezreal is not good for getting out of bronze

the other 2 are fine but if you really want to get out of bronze just play renekton and other similar champs or just play nothing but renekton.

No, it doesn't matter if that's a bad idea outside of bronze, you don't win in bronze by playing like you belong in silver gold plat or diamond

Start playing jungle, play champs that have easy clear and virtually no ganking trouble like Amumu Rammus Skarner Vi XinZhao gank a lot. Get your teammates fed not you so they all win lane.

Dracocrash1 votes

Hi.

Play jungle/support, you wont have to worry about last hitting in lane.

For jungle 2 champs are good : zac and amumu

Amumu is really good if you are kinda bad at jungling,

but if you think you are a decent jungler (even a little bit) zac is really op. He can gank lanes 24x7 and in bronze people dont ward/ respect when their flash is down

For support: play janna, shes really broken imo.

BLACK REALM GOD1 votes

i still think that the 450 ip champs can teach you pretty much everything you need to know. the only things that you miss out on are invisibility and character specific things like illaoi's tentacles and bards chimes.

Oh Look Kaede1 votes

Really depends on who and what lane you are comfortable aith

Immortal spax1 votes

Top: Kennen, Malphite and Trynda They never fall off and they are very good at diving the backline

Adc: Sivir and Ashe Even if they are Marksmen they never fall of because of their utility, and also they dont have small skillshots.

Jungle:Xin, Amumu and Vi Very easy to gank with, and even if you fuck up you can still build them full tank and peel for the carries.

Time Magik1 votes

I won't suggest a champ considering you can climb with any champ, but I will suggest you for some consistancy about which lane you prefer and try to focus on limiting your champion pool a little bit.

Also try to talk on phone unless ur using a headset.

BananaJannana1 votes

play Pantheon top and mid. watch videos, there's tons of them. snowballing with him is quite easy. Make sure top is your primary, he's best at top.

DeathBurst1 votes

I suggest Garen, Tryndamere and Malphite Top, according to your play style and preference.

I don't suggest Jungle for Noobs at all, even mechanically simple champs in the Jungle require a good understanding of the game and a lot of knowledge to take the right decisions and make the right calls to get good results. But if you really want to Jungle anyway, Udyr is good, and other options are Amumu, Zac, Master Yi, Warwick, Shyvana (once again according to your play style).

I don't know ADC very well, but most long-range ADC (Jinx, Cait, Ashe) or ADC with a good escape (Trista, Ez) are probably good to learn the ropes.

Ruin Lance1 votes

udyr is one of the worst junglers in the game right now don't play him. play Jax instead

Aptest1 votes

Yes:

Udyr : Get them towers Renekton : Always remember - you are a raid boss Ezreal : Always remember - you are NOT a raid boss

<>

More general advice -

I think you should try and learn the roles more completely. Decide on a main and secondary role and just do those for 2-3 weeks, then rotate if you're bored. Try to get 2-3 more fun champions for the roles you decide on and have fun, and make sure you learn not just the champions but what the role is about.

<>

Third Tidbit -

don't play pantheon. he wins lane easy-mode at your elo but he's actually a high elo champion for the simple fact that he requires you to either affect a complete snowball or end the game fast or both.

at your elo you don't have teams that know how to begin closing games. So you can't even practice closing games fast as a team effort.

My advice to you: Find the one champ you LOVE to play. Zed, Poppy, Jinx, Braum, Olaf... It can be Teemo for all anyone cares (although you're the devil at that point), the point is, you spam your champ, and learn them inside out until you don't have to think about them and your brain can learn the other skills of league: map awareness, team-work, etc.

Play that champion and ONLY that champion whenever possible. Don't deviate on a whim; if you can play that champ, play it. Whatever role/roles that champ works in, that's now your main role.

Practice CSing with that champ if you're a laner, clearing camps if you're a jungler, or warding/harassing/baby-sitting if you're support.

This, more than anything, will get you out of bronze, out of silver, and maybe even out of gold.

A few things to keep in mind: If you chose a mechanically complex champion, it'll take you significantly longer if you pick a mechanically simple champion, but taking the time to learn all the mechanics will serve you well with higher out-play potential.

You will NOT instantly climb, but you will notice steady improvement if you focus on your chosen main.

Once you've climbed a bit and hit a wall, go back and practice the fundamentals, watch more videos on your champion as well as the macro game of League. Spend up to half of your time spent on league doing research. It pays off.

Good luck, man.

P.S. If you queue up for ranked, do NOT have distractions up (no phone, no TV, no web, only ranked.)

WoonStruck1 votes

Buy Vlad, learn how to lane safely. Even if you fall behind, you're a hypercarry who can build defensively early, and has base numbers to contribute to teamfights significantly no matter what.

If you get ahead or stay even, its essentially a free win, granted you play him properly and your team comp isn't completely horrible.
