Title. You can't counterjungle him, you can't kite him, can solo dragon and herald way too early, very mobile, melts everything in seconds, better clear than most jglers with phoenix, way too tanky, strong at very early phase of the game with his only worries mana which now is useless since nobody worries about it with ocean dragons and stuff, has great CC, very mobile, can gank easily, if you consider 1vs1ing him you better be Yi or something, amazing sustain, incredible dueler, not realtively hard to play champion, EXTREMELY versatile, doesn't fall off at any point of the game. the synergy with Trinity is incredibly strong. Something has to go. Unless I am doing something wrong.

Udyr should be gutted until his rework, unhealthy outtaded champions like him shouldn't be viable

The only point to say here is that there is a chunk of dated champions that need to be reworked. He is among them and others this include are Amumu DrMundo Fiddlesticks Kayle (which is coming up) Malphite Nocturne Pantheon Tryndamere Volibear

riot games love their braindead facerool champs wayy too much, they prefer new unskilled players to be able to stomp everybody in sight with no downsides

Actually I'm pretty sure udyr is a yi counter if you build him as such.

The problem with udyr is much like the problem with garen. To make up for flaws in their kit which high elo players punish well and most of the rest of us don't, riot has to over-buff him to absurd levels such that he braindead wins in any neutral or advantageous situation for him in order for him to be playable for high elo.

So the problem isn't so much udyr as it is... udyr's kit. Much like garen or yi, he simply needs to have a modernized kit so that he can be properly balanced long-term. Otherwise we'll keep having him in a state where he's fluxuating between weak or even useless and OP meta-pick of the patch.

But like I said... he's far from the only champ with such issues and the issues are due to very flawed kit making him too good or useless depending on whether or not riot wants him playable in high elo that patch.
