Silver V last season up to Silver II with flex queue then back down to BV?

Okay.

So, I play the flex queue thing after finished Silver V last season(got up to Silver II during the season and had a bad losing streak). I get back on and play the flex queue pre-season thing. And I was getting tough opponents. Gold+ in top lane every single game. 90% of the time, I would win my lane. Crushed 3 Diamond players (they weren't too happy) and probably 4 or 5 Platinum players (of course, help win the game, it's a team game afterall). So I get thrown into Silver 2 which I was extremely happy about. People tell me I play like a Gold+ player anyways. Some of my friends and most of the people I practice with are Gold+. So yea, that makes sense.

But I get re-placed today in rank flex queue (because they made a mistake apparently) and it slams me right down into Bronze V?

Why?

You say what you were doing wasn't working. Pretty sure what you were doing was working because that is where I belong. Now, I'm forced to deal with people who go on tilt when they die once or bot laners who have zero MA or junglers who don't understand the mechanics of counter jungle or ganking at appropriate times. Like, it's pure fuckin hell getting out of bronze. I still know of some platinum players and gold players who remade accounts and they STILL can't get out and it's been two fucking years. Obviously, what you use to measure someone's ability is completely wrong. The elo system is for 1v1's. It's not designed for 5v5s.

Because Riot only cares about high Diamond+ MMR players. Everyone else is just money to riot. Buying all their skins, they don't care where we get placed, only where we place our money :D

Sad to say but the system is really flawed and i dont even know if that is the right terms anymore. Dynamic Q basically screwed what was even left of the rank system. People are in places they shouldn't even be in. You're MMR doesn't get buffed either, i mean sure you might get benefits from winning games but when you lose in a game. I basically erases your last 3 games that you won. The Ranking system is a fluke trying to get you to play the game more that is all it is. There really are no real rankings, Ive been in ranked games where golds were playing with bronzes. Its just a border it by no mean shows how much skill you have in the game. Doesn't matter how well you play in a game when one person can lose the whole game for you. Sorry to say ya you are good at the game but Riot doesn't care...as long as you keep playing the game and giving them your money your voice really won't be heard. I'm not encouraging you to quit the game but if you want change you know what to do...

Ok here's the reasoning why. A bunch of plat players were placed in silver before the reset. Some gold players too probably I'm not sure. So when they went up to gold and plat/diamond the bottom like 20% gets moved down to bronze just because of tiers. When people above you get moved up, you get moved down.

Well to be fair it makes no sense that you should get placed in the same division as me (Silver II) when you were Silver V in Season 6 and I was Plat IV.

I ended last season at S2 and peaked at G5. Placements put me in S5. I ended last season in Silver and was dropped right back in Silver, didn't even drop a full tier (well, full tier from my cap, which is expected in ranked placements).

Even when it's not bugging out, you're ALWAYS placed lower at the beginning of a season than where you ended the previous season at, because there is a partial reset of your MMR. I personally went from Silver4 to Bronze3 between Season 5 and 6 (EDIT: and from Gold5 to Bronze3, this season). Moreover, you can't get higher than Plat from Placements, so Diamond and Challenger are pushed down to Plat, and everyone else is pushed even lower.

On top of that, there was a bug this year, that placed a lot of high-rank players lower than they should have been.

I saw your thread with Mooooose3, and you can whine all you want, but this here is facts, confirmed multiple time by Riot.

I wouldn't worry too much about your ranking at the moment, since this was a hard reset and they will again do a soft reset at the start of season 7 in a few weeks. I wouldn't even waste the time climbing through preseason since you will have to do your placements again when season 7 starts.

Season 5 I finished in Gold V and I think I placed in Bronze I or II in season 6. I just played and climbed up.

If you are much better than the competition you are against, you will eventually rise back up to your rank. I climbed 3 different accounts through low silver to gold this season, didn't take too long. Took about one month on my two smurfs from low silver and irregular playing and on my main I think I got back to Gold in two months.

To be honest the game is a scam. You are designed to be set up with teammates who cause you to lose because if you lose you're more likely to purchase RP to make yourself feel better and that's how they make money.

Same function as gambling.

That's why they keep so many people at lower elos for no real reason at all.
