Hacking affects gameplay?

There doesn't seem to be any anti-hack in the game and its making it hard to grind out IP and I am getting alot of toxicity for losing to hackers and then on top of that I am being reported for people being toxic to me. You guys may support this behavior among other things I have recorded from your staff but you should try and sort it out. It isn't hard to make anti-cheat and it would a long ways to improving your game even if it will only last a few more years.

I have literally not once ever in the 4 years I've been playing encountered even the slightest hacks in this game. Closest I've ever found were the occasional bots - only in the non core pvp game modes mind you - and even those get stamped out pretty hard and fast with Riot going out of their way to change how refer a friend works just to fuck over botters.

For the single most played online game in the world, you really would expect a lot of at least attempts at hacking - but you never see any.

If anything, Riot should package whatever their anti hacking strategy/software is and sell it to other companies, maybe then I'll be able to play some other games whose 'hackshield' or w/e doesn't seem to do jack shit.

That was a bug/exploit, wasn't it? Was changing the code of the game part of it?

If it's not changing the code of the game to bend it to your will, it's not a hack...

Interesting, thanks for the info.

How are they hacking...?

You got to be more specific.

If you have no proof or descriptions of the hacks, it's hard to take you seriously. Could you get a video or at least talk specifically about what's happening?

And Riot's anti-hacking checks are actually quite good, as I've honestly never seen anything I could remotely call hacking in four years of play.

Last, if you're being reported for "people being toxic to you", make sure you're not being toxic back. By the time you have a blame war, it doesn't really matter who started it because those who are trying to play the game aren't any better off with two people raging in the chat rather than one. Calm down and use the mute button if someone's being annoying in chat to you.

really? not in 4 years? not even when they publicly stated about how they were banning people who hacked the in the past? like that one time that some people were constantly flashing all over the map? i think you need to put more attention

I seem to have missed that period. I'm not a hardcore player and admit that I probably missed some periods with heavier hacking, but I've also NEVER in any of my games, seen a hack with my own eyes. Maybe I'm just lucky, maybe the hacks are really infrequent (I lean towards the second). I also probably tended to interpret messages being more about bugs/exploits than any hacks as well, but could you link me the public statement about banning people who have hacked? I seem to have missed that one.

And comparatively, how many games with this sort of popularity don't run into hacks at any point? Riot's been extremely quick in patching up any exploits and solving any issues they might have, so I'm wondering if people are expecting perfection on that front.

Define hacking? I haven't seen any hackers ever, unless your talking about IP grinding bots or something.

People hack the game to get full health/mana, stuff like that

Adrian Umbra1 votes

I've never seen this, do you have a video?

Adrian Umbra1 votes

I saw that the other day, is that still not patched? Because even if it isn't Riot's still doing a lot better than most games at making sure their game is secure.

Also, do you have a vid of the full health/mana one? I hadn't heard anything about it and was interested to see how that might look.

I'm fairly certain that was patched.

Other notable ones was an Ashe on a team could mess things up your auto attacks (Her teams brand would fire ults every auto attack), and infinite BotRK (the active instantly and always triggering on enemies in range, sucking them dry).

Riot has stated that these are all fixed, in just naming them so you can see how horrible the game gets when hacking does happen.

And I'd agree that hacking does horrible things to a game. But Riot's also done a wonderful job fixing these and I'm also pretty sure that the OP hasn't encountered hacking to nearly the extent that he seems to think.

Agreed. Most likely it's an ability or item they aren't aware of.

Well, I've been playing since 2,012 and I have never found someone that were using hacks. On the other way round, I've been accused for using hacks like ~15 times... and they were always people that sucked at playing. So I think you just get stomped by someone who can actually play properly and you came here to cry.

That feel when you play so good, you get accused of hacking.
