Riot Should Reset Champion Mastery at the End of the Season

This would make summoner profiles reflect the champions that player ACTUALLY plays.

And to be honest I think it would be cool to have a competition where we compete for the highest mastery points on a specific champion every season!

Edit: My bad. Forgot most people on the Gameplay boards are pretty toxic. Whoops.

Well not really... The points are an indicator of how they really played before and now. Those points are earned and shouldn't be removed just because one year passed. I currently have 132k points on Thresh, why would I lose them? That would honestly just be shit.

Maybe we should reset your whole account.

Yeh didn't think yourd like that idea

Ok troll post over.

Keep your points / mastery under a "season6" tag and have another set of points under season 7 tag however you keep your mastery ranks

Stupidest post I've seen this week. Why the hell would you want your mastery to be reseted. That defeats the whole purpose of the Champion mastery. Just shows how much you've played and mastered the champion, there would be no reason to reset that.

My mastery score is 371. Fuck you. I have done way too much just to have that reset at the end of the season.

People don't get "toxic" unless you make an incredibly stupid suggestion such as this.

should arcade machines reset their highscore at the end of the year? what if a sequel came out? if theres an updated version of the game that the devs might prefer you to play, does that mean you chuck out the whole machine or discontinue the scoreboard?
