You say Ivern is a support jungler..

Idk, I kinda like the idea of putting him mid lane, placing bushes down for increased range and damage for safer last hitting, and whenever your jungler's blue is up, just take it and let them also get it for standing there. A bit reverse.

Also would be scary if you went top side and took their red; sion passive style, and then ran mid with it for the level 1 harass of the century.

I just can't see the ganks he does great, the bushes are cool but people can see those bushes put down and say "ok, there's ivern.. guess I'll walk to this side of the lane instead". He's basically a 2 ability kit when it comes to ganking and I feel like his ulti will be like malzahar's voidlings, just kited and never getting those 3 hits.

Like, you don't need smite or anything and can still delete camps by doing nothing, whats the point of putting him jungle when he can go anywhere and still be a jungler? Even him as a support seems like a counter jungling annie or as a top laner, a krug/gromp early level 2 stealer.
