I just hit level 30, but i only started in February and i don't think i'm that good. Technically, i should only be level 20 but because of the update a while ago that halved the exp needed to get to 30 i'm already here. Should i play ranked, or should i just play normal and try and get better? If i do play ranked, what sort of things should i expect?
play ranked if you want to be bronze
Hit ranked if you have ~5 champs you are comfortable with. Just be prepared for tryhards and ragers in ranked.
It wouldn't hurt to play ranked if that's what you want to do, but don't expect to be ranked very high starting out. When I first started playing I was told to get at-least 200 wins in normals before playing ranked
Most players require about 2000 total games before they are capable of playing ranked with an appropriate amount of skill. The common advice for several years now has been to reach 1000 wins in normals and to play for that 1000th win with a Rioter before trying your hand at ranked play. For most players who manage about a 50/50 win rate this will amount to 2000ish total matches played and be about entry level ranked play experience. Playing ranked on a first time account right as you hit 30 is a terrible idea.
