I'll see ya later meta

With the new ten ban system I feel that champions like yasuo and lee sin will simply never get played due to bans. This begs the question, is the meta the banned champs or the new champs that will surface?

Yas currently has a 50% banrate; assuming that the chances of each individual team banning him is the same, that's around 75% banrate when you factor in both.

However, that doesn't factor in that the old ban system had a total of 6 visible bans, meaning it's more likely for Yasuo to have under a 50% ban rate for each individual team (as each team will have 5, not 6). Also doesn't consider that some teams might make a gamble and not ban Yasuo, hoping that the enemy team will do so, effectively giving them an extra ban to use on someone else. If this happens on both teams, Yas slips through. Again, 75% is a pretty rough estimate, but it does show that while his banrate will probably increase, it's unlikely he will be banned in every single game.

It seems like a lot and compared to the current system it is. But really it's not if you think of it this way. Everyone will ban 1 champ. That 1 champ will most likely be a counter to their lane. Top will prob ban a top champ, mid banning a mid etc. Unless maybe you notice no one banned that op champ like Yas then you might consider banning them anyways.

At the end, it really isnt going to ban ALL meta champs for their roles. But I would say you will see more variety and more spice. :)
