Mid lane doesnt feel like mid lane anymore

Well the reason i loved mid lane and playing mages in mid was because of the mid lane being skill dependent, and autos just being there to help while you are waiting for cool-downs to end. With the addition of more mid lane champions that used autos to do a majority of damage was great and new to the experience, yeah i struggled against it ,but it made mid lane a little more diverse and even somewhat refreshing. Nowadays though, i don't see many mages, its usually tanks, bruisers, and Ad champs such as yasuo, zed, riven, etc. Overall it doesnt have that mid lane feel anymore where it was (some of it anyways) skill shot dependent, reading their movements and so forth. My love for mid lane was mainly cause i was casting skills, not just using skills while autoing (a big reason to why I struggle with adc also :3). I dont know if im making much sense, but I hope you kinda see where im coming from

How do you guys feel/view mid lane now?

ehh in my opinion mid lane hasn't really changed much, if anything it's the lane that's stayed the most consistent over the years.

mid lane feels exactly the same as always, a majority i skill shots or skills being used. Either way i still enjoy the mid lane.
