I don't think that burst meta will ever be fixed

I know that it sounds crazy, but when you think, we reached to this meta over the years. They remove some base stats from there, added more cdr, increased the gold generation which made champions scale faster and other stuff. The rune reforged was just he final straw.

For them to fix this thing, it would mean they will have to make big changes to actually balance the game. They are already scared of making big changes. If we look at Irelia, Conqueror, Akali and many others that we have seen over the years. They are refusing to make meaningful changes outside of reworks and some changes in the preseason. Now think about actually balancing the game in a way that will throw everything out of the window and start again with a meta that they can't control and we will have to figure what is strong or not. Right now they are controlling what champions is strong or not. Reducing the damage means they will not know what is strong or not.

Reducing the damage means games will take longer, which is clearly what they are trying to get away from. The markest has spoken- shorter games with more final conclusions are more popular than longer games that play out like a tug if war.

Asian based players primarily play in gaming cafes, and the less time spent on one game is better for them since they usually pay by the hour. Western players hate being stuck in one game for too long as well. Hence- more damage = faster conclusive wins/losses

yknow why current burst meta won't be fixed? Because don't fix what isn't broken.
