What if...

...instead of forcing people to play support you come up with other 2 new shining roles you can play in the botlane (so in botlane you would have ADC, Support, ROLE X, ROLE Y to choose from), so adc would definetly fall off with this assassin's rework and maybe one forced to be a support now will fit into a new interesting role? That would add something interesting in matters of strategies and finally will change and mess things up with these Caitlyn, Vayne and Jhin players.

Well the thing is, in the long, long ago we did have that. People stopped playing the others and play with what we have now because it is more consistent. It's due to the game's mechanics. Having a carry with one item and a utility champion who doesn't need gold tends to perform better than two carries who haven't completed an item on either of them.

Yeah that would need to actually come up with combinations of roles that actually work, and with roles that could perform greatly as well even with the adc + supp combo, but that would need a phrase that Riot hates: BALANCE THE GAME.

Well no... that isn't a problem with lack of balance. What the issues is, is that gold is a good thing.

Gold allows players to buy items and become stronger, so when that gold compromised and lessened, the champion is weaker than they would be otherwise. If Riot were to manipulate the game and artificially force champions to be better there through buffs, they would be completely broken and doubly so anywhere outside of bot lane. It could well be said that the combination in bot lane we have is a result of the game being balanced.
