Bring Stacking Devourer Back.

Pros: 1.It was not abused by the pros. 2.it brought diversity to the jungle. 3.it gave a reason for players to play champions that dont have burst damage in the jungle. 4.it encouraged taking objectives. 5.It made some champions viable (jax jungle, xin jungle, kindred jungle, shyvana jungle,ww jungle, kayle)

Cons: 1.it encouraged overstaying in the jungle. 2.it made games more snowbally for some champions(if you lose you cant stack,if you win you stack too fast) Right now with the current jungle timers the item seems more viable than ever.

Honestly, I enjoyed using Feral Flare.

Infinitely stacking on-hit healing was hilariously strong on autoattack-oriented fighters (i.e. Udyr, Shyvana) due to synergy with resistances.

"It brought diversity into the jungle"

It was Yi or Xin in every game, wtf are you talking about?

Edit: ok there was also Kayle (who was and still is BS) and Jax. Shyvana is fine though.

is it better now?LeeSin Hecarim Vi an item's values can be changed. a champions viability in the jungle without the item cant be changed.

I never said it was better now, but it's not as bad as the devourer meta used to be.

i would not mind devourer being nerfed, like i said an item's values can be changed.Riot took advantage of item diversity to justify the removal of devourer saying that a lot of players who played jax/xin etc top could not have the devourer on hit multiplier effect. So they gave the community this joke of an itemitem 3124 .In what scenario does a melee champion autoattack an enemy champion 8 times in a row?

None is a burst meta. In a sustained damage meta it would see more usage.

i understand and respect the meta as well as the need for a meta to exist, but Caitlyn being a meta champion doesnt mean we should delete Tristana .

Devourer was deleted because it provided a stagnant meta and was hard to balance.

What riot claimed was the reason it got removed was because it was forcing champions to go jungle because they needed the item to be strong. That was the reason they added rageblade when they removed the old devourer to give the chance to those champions to be played in other roles.the rageblade rework failed, and now autoattack based champions are not appearing in the jungle, which is kind of ironic since autoattack based champions with used to be the ones with the best clear. What makes jungle a special role is the fact that a champions ability to clear determines how much exp and gold he is getting.Riot took "junglers" out of the jungle.

All I remember, is that the community wouldn't shut up about the item. Also, I'm a bit confused. Are we talking the infinity stacking Devourer or the sated one? You mentioned in the Op "Stacking" but your reference to Rageblade suggests the sated one. (FYI it has since been reduced to 6 stacks)

The biggest problem I saw with the infinity stacking was the AFK farming that was a result. Problematic in a Deveourer vs Devourer match up, as who ever stops farming first, will basically lose.

And with sated, I think it was just hard for them to be shut down. (Given the power you get once sated) And despite the fact that it only really worked against jungle camps, it still seemed too subjected to lane abuse at lower ELO.

I'm not saying I didn't enjoy the item when we had it, I just don't think Bringing it back is going to fly.

whether it was the infinitely stacking item or the one that capped at 30 it was still a nice adition to the game, that is probably my last response to this thread i dont plan on following it further due to the negative resposnses from the community.

Jax and Xin have good win rates in the jung

h5LYF41Lam1 votes

high winrates on such low playrates are not relevant, since a small number of dedicated players determine those numbers.

Ad Vitam Aeterna1 votes

Doesn't matter, you said viable, they clearly are viable for anyone that puts in some games on them.

i would rather have a tiamat jungler item

but i do miss the ghost dog, he should just come with every jungle item

As my name implies, I agree wholeheartedly with your last suggestion.
