Question about pre season.

I was told because i had went 0-8 in my ranked placements to wait and use placements next season to get a higher MMR placement.

Basically i stopped queueing ranked last season, played a bunch of normals + made my MMR higher.

Im still un ranked right now, what happen if i play ranked in pre season, and willi get placed?

If so, Can i move tier to tier or no?

What is the difference between ranked right now, and in season?

TL:DR; went 0-8 last season in ranked placements( never placed before), Waited for preseason/new season to try again with better placements. What now?

Hi plzritounbanme,

If you play ranked in the pre-season, you will be ranked; however, it'll be reset for season 5, and you'll have to do your provisionals again. As you play in the pre-season, your MMR will adjust and affect where you begin seeding during provisionals for the upcoming season.
