Let's talk Poppy
When I'm looking at champions that are viable a lot of things go into mind, the biggest of which is what kind of meta the game is in right now and what kind of champions are being played repeatedly. In this meta respectively it's a tank focused team fight compositions that usually take lead whether in LCS or solo que at the moment even though that is falling off a small bit with cinderhulk nerfs a few patches ago. And as a player trying to figure out what's good I experiment and find myself playing champions that are usually ignored. Champs like
,
,
,
,
and I usually get a quick reminder why they aren't played as often in their gameplay. But one champion thought threw me off was, you guessed it, poppy. If anyone remembers a little while ago I believe UOL took her out for a spin which was the first time she was played competitively. What I've seen she is strong in certain regards like any champ but she never really thrived in any sort of meta. I thought what would make her a little bit stronger, give her a little push to make it into the meta as a reasonable pick. Her kit has everything that is needed, tankyness with built in armor and damage reduction, a terain stun, a speed up, AN ABILITY WITH PERCENTAGE HEALTH DAMAGE, and a ult that is very versatile and team fight orientated. Everything's there until i look close enough to see that her Q has a maximum damage that makes it completely trash compared to
,
, or even
after nerfs. I think if they remove the max damage caps on her q then she'll actually see some light on summoner's rift every now and again. I think if her percentage health damage of her Q gets brought into line with everyone else's then you'll see her played as she well should be along with other champs i said above.
hopefully this helps shed light on the subject and then people know she still exists (lol), and to any riot employees that they would consider it and please give me your opinion down below.
