What ever happened to those Diana changes?

I remember a Rioter making a thread for suggestions about Diana a while back. What ever happened to those? Just curious.

Well considering that Riot wants only AD assassins to be awesome and strong, Diana probably won't be getting any love because she is apparently "unhealthy" even though I find her to be pretty balanced....

She's kind of unhealthy for the game because of how her kit works. Once she hits level 6 she can very easily blow up any squishy champion. However before she hits level 6 she can't really do anything unless she has assistance from her teammates. This playstyle is similar to Akali who was deemed really unhealthy for the game and nerfed.

While this is true, because it's her job to, she is killed rather easily. Yeah she has a shield but in terms of defense for an assassin it doesn't do much. All the other assassins have better defensive abilities.

No shit lol. Her design is to do high damage while going all in and throwing herself into the middle of the fight, it's high risk high reward. If she fucks her positioning up she's done. Diana is a more healthy Akali because in order to get the burst of her shield + passive off she needs to use her ultimate, to keep this combo ongoing she needs to land her Q, which has counterplay. Akali is 100% point and click with stealth, Diana has a shield that can be baited out / is on a long cooldown early game.

The shield window of opportunity + missing Q to continue using your ult to move your burst into position = Counterplay and windows of opportunity. Akali doesn't have that.

Akali also has sustain instead of a shield.. which is more valuble because Diana's shield will dissipate / isn't permanent, unlike lifesteal / spellvamp.

Back then I thought that Diana's kit was pretty plain but now that I've played her more I really think that she doesn't need any work. Her combination of initiation, durability, and burst makes her pretty unique strategically and all her abilities really work with her theme better than you'd expect when put into practice.

I hope Riot came to the same conclusion, it seems like they've let her sit nice and pretty without worrying too much about her being able to have nice burst and sustained damage while being kinda tanky and kinda mobile.
