Greeting Summoners,

You may remember me as the guy who made that gigantic post on Champion Difficulty a few months back. Today, I'm bring you a high-quality breakdown the (currently) most popular Marksman in the game, Jhin. I originally made this for CLG back way in 6.4, shortly after Jhin was released. Although I no longer work with them, I was approved to pull this presentation out of the vault to share with you! A lot can change in 11 patches though, so after combing through all my original work, I added ~40% more slides.

As always, I'm open to any kind of feedback and will try to respond to as many comments as I can below.

The damage charts are very interesting for sure. I've done math on some of these item tradeoffs as well, but only as far as it impacted his AD, not his DPS or skill damage directly- just more work than I have time to put in. Thanks for posting this; you've inspired me.

I generally thought IE was better in an easy lane while ER was better in a defensive lane?

As for purchasing ER, I'm guessing BF first back is a given. For second back, is it better to go for Pickaxe or wait longer and then go for Hammer?

By the way, thank you very much for the in-depth guide! I loved it, as someone who plays Jhin a lot and loves everything about the champion.

Thanks so much for making these! I read them a bit after they came out because of Meanwhile in Top Lane, and boy, were they interesting. I loved your analysis of each champion, and you opened my eyes as to what an easy and a hard champion were. With these lists, I've also been able to more accurately describe champions to my rookie friend.

You're the man, Mr. Mandalcio!

Also, I noticed you updated Ryze's page, but it doesn't seem like you've done work on champions that were updated during the Mid-Year Mage Update, since you don't mention stuff like Cassiopeia's grounded debuff, Zyra's better plants, or Malzahar's shield. The pages still seem current without discussing those aspects though since their kits largely remained the same. Finally, it's not big, but Malzahar's and Ryze's splashes got updated.

I have a question since you said Youmuu's into Duskblade was such a bad way to itemize unless in certain circumstances. Why are most of the pros still building it over Essence Reaver into Infinity Edge?

Damn... The detail you put into this scares me. You must have spent hours on it. Great job, really... There's such an abundance of information for just Jhin here, I really respect it. Great job :D

This is really cool, I'd like to see one of the these for kha six because I know there are a lot of different ways people build him. Yommus, deaths dance, hydra, draakthar are all viable in him..

The idea that Duskblade of Draktharr is offering Jhin some invaluable power, despite significant losses in auto-attack DPS, for Deadly Flourish and Curtain Call seem to be a sticking point in other forums. I'll make time for some mathematics tonight that better illuminate that aspect of the build comparisons and bring them here as well; stay tuned folks.
