The third rule of Riot Games is: If someone responds to an mmr post, agrees to the flaws of the system or explains any details of the system; your employment is over.

They'll never change it because it pays all the bills. There's more $ coming in from Gold, Silver and Bronze players than there is from all the regions pro-scenes and advertising put together.
