How can Bloodmoon even be called an assasin game mode?

So after looking through the champs that could be played in a game mode that says "Choose your favorite assassin and hunt your way to victory in this featured game mode", I realized its more like Riot just picked whoever they wanted. Out of 20 available champions, 8 of them aren't even assassins ( Ahri, Camille, Diana, Elise, Kennen, Lee sin, Pantheon, Yasuo), and 3 that are assassins ( Yi, Nidalee, Nocturne) aren't even included. How can you label it an assassin game mode when almost half the champs you have in it aren't even assassins?!?!

Back when they created the game mode, they stated that the game mode will include assassins, some skirmishers and aggressive divers. This covers almost all the champions in the game mode.

And some champions are not included, since they would most likely be broken in that game mode. Nocturne with his vision denial and high range engage for example. Or Master Yi, who can survive alot of burst with his meditation and there are quite some champions in the game mode lacking the hard CC to deal with it.

Well they did say the mode is open to "assassins and aggressive divers". Camille, Diana, Lee Sin, Elise, and Pantheon are aggressive divers because that's all they are in game.

Yi's not in it because of his W. And the chances are he'd be blown up instantly. He doesn't really deal burst damage.

Nocturne is probably not in it because of his spell shield (IIRC they playtested Nocturne and found him to naturally be too unfun to face) and his ultimate.

Nidalee would just flat out play like an artillery mage and fish for nuke damage spears.

I still hold the belief that Ahri and Kennen do not belong in that mode.

My main issue is Kennen honestly. Someone who can confidently go in and stun multiple people in a mode like this with high damage(especially when it doesn't resemble assassin damage at all imo) is ridiculous. My main issue is with CC that doesn't have some sort of condition, unlike how most actual assassin CC does(Shaco's boxes need time to arm and people to walk into them, Evelynn's requires her to wait 2.5 seconds and then fire a skillshot at them unless she's right up in their face in which they deserve to be charmed, etc).

Yi is classed as a Skirmisher not an Assassin.

Diana isn't an assassin, I'm sorry? I've played a lot of Dia and I can very much tell you she is VERY much an assassin. Her whole point is to jump on a squishy in the target backline/out of position and combo-burst them down.

have you ever seen full lethality lee or full ad camile they 3 shot you just like a assasin would and tank items are disabled in the gamemode so you cant build tanky you have to build damage.

Hashinshin was right,what do people enjoy doing in this game? Killing people,well let's make a gamemode where you get to pick assassins that at level 18 they have like 2000 hp and let's enable champions that have a lot of cc like kennen or fucking ahri and that can reach up to 3700 hp like Camile or fucking Lee sin and in order to win you'd have to pick one of the above mentioned champions just because the enemy team might have them and since they have kennen that can just R and stun the entire team you have to play him too,I thought it was a fun gamemode where you jump in and play your assassin but no,this game is such a fucking lie nowadays

riot's definition of an assassin is pretty much "get in a fight, kill someone, get out." Zed Akali Evelynn etc

ahri is a pick mage/assassin that were used to be played like an assassin (before getting nerfed into oblivion) full AD lee/camille still work like an assassin elise IS an assassin but i agree on kennen,phanteon and yasuo (and maybe riven),they are a totally different class

Yasuo, Elise, Lee Sin, Ahri, and Pantheons are all secondary Assassins according to the old client's roles, this is probably where they got this from. As for Camille Diana and Kennen, if you subtract his ultimate, all of Kennen's abilities ARE Assassin abilities (single target), unless you decide to go full magic penetration build, they also probably put him here because he's great as killing pretty much only Assassins, if you put him in any other game mode he kind of sucks, Diana has a gap closer, shields, and a mage like ability and since Assassins don't really have any cc or tank like abilities they just gave her the Fighter/Mage tag, but she kind of fits the theme of Blood Moon, her theme is a Lunar Eclipse her Q shows vision "i think", and she can pop out of nowhere and can delete someone, that sounds like an Assassin to me, and Camille, I'm not really sure on this one, other than I just had a game where she dealt over 1000 true damage to me with just Triforce, Steraks and Tiamat.

They're all assassins in the sense of what they do in the game, just not assassins as officially labelled by Riot. Only thing that shouldn't be there is Camille, otherwise everything in there is or was an assassin or labelled as such.

I'd imagine Nocturne is not included because his kit has way too much utility in it instead of damage. Spellshield, Fear, and point and click long range ultimate nuke. I agree that Kennen doesn't belong in the mode either, but since he's a ninja with a blood moon skin, he's added.

And Ahri can still be an effective assassin, her numbers just suck right now.
