Is wukong a good champion for climbing elo?

I was just wondering if wukong is a good champion for climbing with and how he is in the current meta. I am currently b4 70 lp.

You can play all kinds of stupid shit all the way up to Gold V.

To paraphrase Sky Williams, in order to be out of the meta, you need to be in the meta. It doesn't matter how good your champion is, objectively, or what kind of matchup you get until high Diamond. What matters is how good you are as a player and how familiar you are with your champion. So if you like Wukong, play Wukong, and learn him inside out. Don't play some random shit because you think it's a strong pick, or a counterpick, or good for your team comp if you're not familiar with that champ.

Short Answer Yes, he's quite good

Longer answer Wukong is good because he has the whole package. He's good early, and scales exceptionally well into mid and late game. He can initiate with his ultimate, but unlike most initiators, he has a tremendous amount of damage to boot, making him less team reliant.

He is versatile, can go into many roles, and has a fallback pattern; if behind, he can still build tanky and maintain his use as an initiator. Above all else, he's mostly point and click, and is therefore very consistent, while also having a decent skill ceiling.

He's good early

Disagree. If you're talking about top lane he has a multitude of matchups that beat him early. He does have matchups that he can win early though. If you're talking about Jungle, Wukong absolutely is one of the weakest early junglers. Mid game is his time to shine

In my books the best champions for that sort of things are champions that can turn it on when they want, and say "we're fighting now whether you like it or not". Wukong can do that, so he's good :P

If you're good at him, yes. You can climb with any champ given enough skill.

Wu is very fun. I initially got out of Bronze with him.

After climbing through silver though got bored and switched to Tryndamere. I still play Wu if we have a Yasuo on our team though. Their ults combined is the nastiest combo in the game.

He has no skill shots, hes point and click. So easy to pick up. Alowing you to focus more on the game then how to play the champion. He can top and jungle and mid, so one trick climbing is easier. His kit is was makes him good, his w can block skill shots and bait out ults. His ult can win team fights, he scales really consistantly. His q, can shreed down tanks in the meta. He can snowball very well, he has a weak early jg and pre lvl 6 over all, but can carry hard from there. On the count of roaming and gap close with invis... Into ult. He can be built for damage or bruiser. He can heavy engage. His simple kit alows you to focus more on how to cs, trades, map awareness, shot calling and all the other things to make you a better player. So i would say hes good to climb with, provided you can play him consistantly, over all i wold say hes easier to climb with then most champs. Im glad i picked him up.

But its how you play the game, and how you build for your team. Have tons of damage, build him an engage tank passive is perfect here. Have tanks little damage, build him as a back line assassin. But get used to changing your play style deppending on your team and the oppents. For every game.

Just make sure you ward, help your team and play for them. You'll climb no matter what you play. Just learn his power spikes, when to make plays, and watch the map. Make good calls and get your team ahead and know what you need to do to win.

Im a janna mian, so new to wukong and i love him.

I had a game with a kda 3/2/18... 2 turrets , 3dragons and two inhibs. Victory.

Objectives>kills = wins. So play forr the team, take out wards, use wards wisely. Make calls, make plays. You will climb with him.
