Last Stand Is Underwhelming And Outshined

Ok, so you deal between 5% more damage at <60% HP to 12% at 30% HP. Not bad but now let's look at Coup De Grace. 10% more damage on a <40% HP (great, just have Cass ult. and E 3x, done etc.) target AND adaptive 9 AD or 15 AP for 10seconds on Takedowns. You basically get more than Last Stand with none of the risk. Last Stand should be at least 15% more at 30% HP to be competitive. If I'm at 30% HP, you better believe that someone else is also <40% HP in the vast majority of situations.

Last Stand Is Underwhelming And Outshined

Really? I enjoyed that album a lot. ...

...

Waits to see if someone gets it

Honestly I'd rather reduce the extra damage from Coup de Grace. I'm enjoying abusing it, but 40% is a big window, and 10% extra damage is a lot.

Instead of buffing a powerful mastery how about we nerf the overpowered alternatives?

I don't recall buffing X damage because Y dealt more damage as a good policy

Last Stand is for champs who are designed to survive for a long amount of time like Kled or Darius while Coup de grace is mostly for cleaners like Master Yi or assassins in general

It depends on how it synergizes with the champion man. What sort of champions do you play?

For example, I take last stand on Kled and Warwick and it works wonders with them. Other champions that probably would like last stand are Olaf, Trynda, Kayle, Kindred, Poppy (and most damage-y tanks for that matter) and Aatrox.

Coup the Grace by contrast works great on lane bullies, artillery and bursters

rather id like other damage runes to be toned down but its not likely riot will go across the board to tone down anything

I owe several 1v2 top lane Xin doublekills to last stand.

I don't even care if I'm not tryn or karthus.

I agree 100%. That additional stats on takedowns need to be removed

I think it's just more niche. I was using it on ARAM and got over 1k extra damage with swain. I figured it was the better option since swain can get pretty low and start baiting people and since low hp targets are hard to lock down for swain.

If they need to buff it, they could also maybe add a timer during which the extra damage could not deactivate so if you got healed you would still keep the damage for 2 seconds or so.

10% increased damage to targets below 40% health is nowhere near as significant as it sounds. It's good for dueling and it's good on champs with executes that aren't true damage (So basically Kalista, Garen, Nidalee, Ekko, Riven, Volibear, and Zed) and is just meh on most everyone else. DPS champs in particular will barely even notice that increased damage.

Last Stand has entirely different use cases, so it's really not a straight comparison. This mastery is for champions that fight while wounded and stay at low health for extended periods of time. Think champs like Mundo, Darius, Tryndamere, Irelia, etc.

Well...I main Tryndamere. So.

I mean, I enjoy using Last Stand on Yasuo just because ppl love it when my HP gets really low.
