Why would you think he's a viable support at all.

Max mocking shout first and it might work.

I've seen it in ranked, actually worked despite my complaining in champ select lol.

Please, don't. I had a game with an ashe support and she trolled and took CS. If you play support, actually play a support. Don't go off meta like Zed, Trynd, Ashe, or any bs champ. It only is hard for the ADC. I will give you a list of good supports that you can pick up so you do not have to ruin a game for an adc. -ADC MAIN

There's not much in his kit that makes it seem like a good idea to me. I mean, in theory, any two champs can work together in the bot lane. But traditional support involves varying degrees of CC, sustaining the ADC, helping the ADC to engage, ranged poke, etc. Trynd has a slow, and that's about it.

Frankly, I'm not sure why you'd want to play Trynd support. Without taking CS or kills, he'll basically just amount to a sub-par bruiser.

Trynd support is just awful, all the enemy team needs is Zyra or Morgana support because they wreck him. I won a lane against Trynd support as Janna because the only "support" ability he has is his slow. He was WAY behind in gold and there aren't any support items for him without him having to sacrifice his damage dealing potential. In the end he was nothing more than a low mobility tank with, at best, moderate damage and a slow.
