Back to fountain

How long can it possibly take for the server to recognize that you disconnected ? Shouldn't that be like instant ? Why do i stop for literally 30 seconds before going back to fountain (or being sent to fountain because 30 seconds is enough even for bots to kill you). Can something be done about this perhaps ?
