Sheen Items
Throughout the brief, yet rich, history of League of Legends, many items have been introduced, reworked, or removed all together (RIP DFG ). From the changes to Armor Pen items (including the Lethality transition), to the frequent tuning of
,
, and
items. All in order to either balance a certain item (looking at you
, a champion that is incredibly overpowered with an item (
with old
), or lastly (and central to my point), enable items to be used by different champions, some of which did not make good use of them in the past (changing Runeglaive items to
/
/
allowing other AP champs to JG, such as
and AP M
).
What i would like to propose is to remove the mana stat from
, so that champs that do not use mana but can use
can use it more effeciently such as
,
, and
. Instead of mana. i propose changing
's stats to 10% CDR, 10% Tenacity, 5 adaptive Lethality/Magic Pen and a new UNIQUE Passive similar to
, but that includes all dmg types. And in the Tier 3 item, 10-20% CDR, 25% Tenacity 10 adaptive Lethality/scaling 7--15 Magic Pen at levels 1-18, and unchanged
adaptive dmg passive. An additional optional bonus would be to add a passive that, upon dealing any dmg to champions, granted increased adaptive, Energy or Mana Regen for 10 seconds.
This would allow champions like the above mentioned Energy champs, as well as champs like
,
,
,
, and
to use these items more effectively. Adding the Penetration stat would also allow these champs to do more damage and their damage would scale better throughout the game (lets face it
25 AD late game is pretty much ignored, completely opposite as its 200% AD Sheen passive).
I believe this change would open up Sheen items to be used by many different champions, and would allow many different viable playstyles to arise (Armor Pen
wasnt a thing until Lethality came about), and would allow Riot to create many more Sheen Items that suit the roles of each champion in game. I mean, imagine a support item with sheen passive that, after landing an ability on an enemy/neutral unit, your next heal, shield or CC ability was 10-25% stronger.
I trust that Riot would develop and tune these items as to prevent any one champion or playstyle from causing an unhealthy state of the game. This is just my personal opinion and a cool idea i had. Disagree if you choose, it is your right. but leave the flame in the kitchen.
