karma's W (Focused Resolve) and R,W (Renewal) should do more stuff (for the old karma players < 3)

Hello people, i played a lot of games with the old karma back then and i felt in love with her old kit in a way that she was my favorite champion AND still is! So i understand the new karma kit it's pretty good i love it the way they are worked her** E and her w.** But i can't deny that i feel that something is missing on her W ability, i feel that it does so little in teamfights it's pretty much a single target spell. Her old** W **wasn't a single target spell, in fact i could damage my enemies when they touch the line (not the old thing but my point is just for the line to deal damage).

  1. I wanted the line of her current W to damage all enemies that it touches, with this they would add more damage to her current kit without touching her ratios IMO, since karma does damage with Q; W and R-E with only (one mantra available). it's almost a insignificant buff but also kit fulfilling.

  2. I also noticed in the new karma's and I saw in a lot of "karma buff" posts saying that: karma's healing allies was gone! first time i heard this I got really disappointed I know it might seem op but idk I miss that a lot. :(

  3. The other thing for the new karma's ki is about a good community idea that I saw in the forum and I also imagine myself everytime i'm playing karma in a solo lane, which is that i always wished that my** R-W** could heal me vs a big mosnter and root only big monsters of the jungle (like blue buff red buff... and probably the epic baron and dragon)

to summarize:

  • 1 W: now damages enemies that touches the line

  • 2 ** R-W**: now can can heal her self and one allied champion (wont root the allied and it works just if this skill was executed on a enemy) to balance this skill maybe we could make a soraka healing mechanic which costs her health or just heal her aliied and her)

  • 3 ** R-W**: now can karma can target a jungle monster and the monsters will be rooted and karma will heal upon casting. (pretty much just like the... nidalle jungle buffs... but on karma it would work in a diferent way ofcorse)

I used to use old Karma and I see where your going at. But you missed one thing that old Karma had that would be easy to implement, Using W on an ally to give them a small speed boost, allies walking through the beam get the speed boost similar to Jayce's ranged E. Enemies take damage from it.

I never understood why her passive is essentially just an R passive. I feel that they should move that to her R and give her her old passive (the lower your hp is, the higher your ap gets)

I'd love changes like these. They'd make me enjoy Karma so much more (not that I dislike her).

I could see just a

W' Renewal:

On Ally Cast: Heals both Karma and the bounded champion by 75/150/225/300(+60%AP), increased by 1% for each 1% missing health of Karma, for the duration of the channel.

On Enemy Cast: Deals 75/150/225/300(+60%AP) additional magic damage ,increased by 1% for each 1% missing health of Karma, and heals Karma by the same amount for the duration of the channel.

It would be a "power change", but would give a somewhat needed buff to Karma Support and a tiny nerf to Mid and Top Karma's.

These seem like pretty good changes, I can support this.

Give her an other AoE ability when her Q and E are yet AoE wouldn't be a good choice, imho. Her Mantra'd Q and E yet give more than enough utility for all the team Karma's need is that W giving more power to her when she has to play 1 vs 1 in a mid lane or has anyway to focus on a single target that is diving for example on her ADC

She needs to receive some heal on her normal W, and to have longer range on tether, lower tether duration and stun rather than root on Mantra'd W

I just played Karma, and I have to say the W on monsters would be a dream - especially what with the new Rift Scuttler. :)

It'd be really cool if Karma's mantra spells didn't cause the normal version of the spell to go on cooldown.

Wishful thinking though~

I've honestly been dying for Karma's old tether mechanic to come back, its so unique and there hasn't been anything else like it the damage aspect would be much appreciated idk about any other utility they'd add though, they'd probably have to weaken some other aspects severely, but the aoe aspect of the tether would make it nice just so that her damage isn't so easily blocked by the front line and people would be more apprehensive about ganging up on her for the fear of hitting tether

Oh no, now I remember old Karma

The problem is you can't W an ally or even a minion. So anytime she's in a lane against one opponent, it would do nothing but push the lane more.

They removed the damage from W because it was rather hard to understand for others.

I agree that W (non mantra version) is weak. Propably the weakest spell in the game. It should get a bit of love. Ability to cast it on allies and recieve part of the damage they take? Mantra version could amplify ad and ap or give a huge lifesteal/spellvamp bonus.

I dunno, I'm concerned this would overbuff her. Because of Karma's ability to lane anywhere (and last season she was even a good jungler) I am worried that a buff would send her over the edge.

she's sorta secret OP as it is (shitting on LB mid is always fun) and I don't want her to become an imbalanced mess.

She's one of my favorite champs and I want her to remain healthy in all places.

I love the changes to RW, to heal as Gorzke had said, but if she got that and something would have to compensate, they'd have to nerf her Q damage, or her shield speed. A good compensation to it would be something like further reducing the range of the tether, it is short as it is but being able to heal an ally for a good chunk would be worth, nerf by 100 range maybe

Nerf the AP ratio and buff the base would also put this further into effect (35% ratio instead of 60%) and base stats with mantra goes up by 50 damage/healing each level; plus of course the 1% per 100ap as currently part of the spell

being able to put w on jungle monsters would be a great change to jungle karma, and stealing buffs per usual.

but the damage if enemies touch the tether seems op if we want the self and allied healing

Well, I see where you're coming from, but I don't think they'd implement any changes like that. Regarding the damaging tether, I think that's really just impractical power I wouldn't want her to have to lose something elsewhere for. It's not excessively long, and you're not a tank, how are you going to realistically apply the damage with it being meaningful alongside your Qs and without killing yourself? Next, I can't see them letting you target things with RW you can't target with W. So they'd at least make it usable on monsters. (are there any spells that hit monsters but not minions?) Being usable on allies I suppose would be the most realistic option, but there isn't really anything for it to do. I can assure you they won't give her an ally heal, she already has a haste shield. (so something like a speed boost can be dismissed, too)

These things really are more a homage to the first Karma than practical changes, I'm afraid.
