An idea for a more engaging tutorial
Obviously the tutorial right now feels outdated and rather bad. Common complaints are that Ashe should not be building a thorn mail and I that after her rework, Ashe does not have a togglable.
My idea would be simple. Introduce a story mode for the game (maybe based on lore?) that teaches the players mechanics of the game while granting them exp and ip for completing each step. The story mode would begin by teaching players basic mechanics like auto attacking and moving and using their abilities as well as itemization like the difference between ap and ad scaling and quick casting and camera adjustments and other user interface options (how to ping, etc) as well as how to ward and what they do and summoner spells. It should also go over basic things like csing and its importance and there should be some sort of jungle tutorial along the way too. Going over the mechanics and user interface of the game over a story mode tutorial I think woups be more useful than the current one.
: They tell you about his pull and his W. They tell you to Q up close and then tell you to Q with the blade hitting them to compare the damage and added effects. That way people can know about how some abilities having added effects. They then tell you when is a good time to ult and show what the damage is like compared to no stacks and with stacks.
: Same thing. They tell you Q has a MS buff and tell you to run away from Darius with it. They tell you to avoid his bonus Q damage by getting up close and use E and avoid hitting minions to prod the bonus damage. They tell you to time W to avoid some damage and when to ult and when it's a good time.
