Physical vamp?

In the preseason patch notes I noticed that the elixir of wrath gives physical vamp. This is really interesting for AD casters if it means what I think it means. Before, Riven's abilities only healed off of spell vamp, whereas her auto attacks healed off of lifesteal, because of how those interacts. Does physical vamp mean function like life steal mixed with spell vamp specifically for physical damage abilities? I'm excited.

Yes, it's been a controversial subject to add that mechanic for a very long while now. I was actually very surprised to see them add it, even if it is JUST the PBE. They have at least considered the idea.

If an item of some sort makes it through with Physical Vamp, Melee assassins and AD Casters, Hell even some ADC's will be really strong.
