Kassadin has the worst passive in the game

His magic damage reduction is bullshit, and so is his magic shield on the Q, as I understand Kassadin, he's supposed to dump on mages, however he just gets dumped on both early and late game if you get comboed by a mage. Obviously if you get to late you're gonna assassinate your mage target but thats because of Kassadins assassin nature and his overall damage, but his passive doesnt help at all in anything he does.

Early into the game you get poked freely and tbh the passive doesnt mitigate shit, his Q shield feels almost non-existent for early trades since you're still gonna get outdamaged due to range and Kassadins negative damage during the early game, his Q basically heals opponents. Why does he have something in his kit that is literally useless?

Kassadin has a very easy time with mages, being that his q grants him this 'weak' spellshield that's also unavoidable. pairing that with his passive its stronger then you think.

Once kassadin gets his ultimate its nearly impossible for a mage to trade with a good kassadin as he'll just dodge it with his ult, or blink over it at them and just murder them.

It seems Riot made Kass's early game terrible in order to compensate for his God-tier late game. But it's a bad move, because his early game takes so much work, and is often so frustrating, that new Kass players rarely ever stick around long enough to awaken his God-form, so his retention levels remain low.

The solution is pretty simple: strengthen his early game and soften his post-6 scaling. But he's not a popular champion, so it's unlikely Riot will bother changing him any time soon.

The problem with Kassadin is that he's working with a kit that was designed around having a silence. Kassadin used to be stupid with that silence so they removed it and gave him a magic damage shield instead, completely fucking him against AD assassin Matchups. They are so stubborn about getting rid of the thing that eats his entire power budget, his ult, that he's stayed the same for years. He needs some change, and soon

So does Fizz by extension. Fizz's passive is the same thing except it makes him take less damage from physical attacks.
