Why Wouldn't the Jungler Gank My Bot Lane

Honestly, what in hell does it take to actually get a jungler to gank a bot lane.

Situation:

I am Sivir w/ Nami Support vs Miss Fortune w/ Leona Support

First 5 Minutes Trading even CS with MF and letting her shove to our turret. Freezing lane directly in front.... Somehow they are outpoking us... My nami was playing behind me a lot.... Regardless, I am able to trade even with MF for CS and keep the lane frozen under turret....

Our Shaco Jungler has a few kills and seems to have helped the other lanes. I have pinged for assistance once or twice over the span of few minutes targeting MF who also had lower health from trading with me. We are literally camped under our turret but still trading even with CS.

I let a few more minutes tick by, it's around 7:00 - 8:00 minutes, I'm pinging for help a couple times at this point.....A couple assistance pings instead of just one like I'd been doing... MF has not backed at all and our FED Shaco is a level ahead and has in fact backed for items also.... MF would be an VERY easy kill.

LIke what in hell do I have to do to get a gank!?!?!

Now we've been camped AT OUR TURRET for 10:00, the enemy MF has not backed, is low health/mana...

Just after 10:00, it's at this damn point, Ekko comes rolling in from the brush behind turret, DIVES the turret with MF/Leona and they get a double kill, proceed to snowballl hard and win the game. THAT COULD HAVE BEEN ME IF HE JUST GANKED THE DAMN MF..... It was OUR TURRET...

I FULLY understand that he was probably trying to "snowball the other lanes"..... and "you should have just backed"...

REALLY though? Should I have "just backed"? Did he snowball the lanes? We lost?..... OR could our FED Shaco jungler have HELPED our ADC out a little bit, ESPECIALLY since the enemy was shoved to our turret and low health herself? SOMEHOW The enemy Jungler thought DIVING OUR TURRET was a pretty good call...I recall we both had about 35% health/mana and were trading pretty even.... So how come our jungler couldn't/wouldnt' gank that.... especially with some IMO courteous/patient pings for assistance...... as I sat at our turret farming/freezing lane "waiting for a gank"..... Got to watch him beside us taking Krugs a couple times also.... -_- MF was RIGHT THERE...

When I play jungle, if I see a shoved lane with lower health enemy, and my team is pinging for assistance, I'm VERY likely to come gank them at earliest convenience.... or at the very least offer up a quick "helping top" in chat or SOMETHING to let me know there is literally ZERO chance I'm even coming to help....

LIke wtf man.....

Educate or Flame me. Go.

Last season reached mid Gold ranked if anyone cares. Thank you.

Honestly, if he had ganked the lane early on, I think that he could have snowballed you guys. Leona/MF is a really hard lane to win. They have a lot of poke, a lot of damage, and a lot of engage. And if they hit level 6, its pretty much free for them to just destroy you. Its a lane that kind of needs outside assistance. People saying ganking that lane is hard are also the people that will just let their bot lane get rolled over.

MF and Leona do not fall off. Their teamfight potential makes them incredible all through mid and late. The best time to win against them is pre level 6. That Shaco basically let a Leo/MF lane get to their best point for free, despite knowing that champion wise his bot lane would struggle.

There is literally 0 reason not to gank a shoving lane like MF/Leo, especially if they are under half health, low on mana, and its pre level 6.

And really, the Shaco was fed. His lanes were not necessarily. He wasn't snowballing his laners; he was probably snowballing himself. There's a clear distinction that a lot of Junglers are incapable of understanding. Just because you gank and the enemy laner dies, it does not mean your laner is ahead. If they were previously struggling and were down CS and didn't get the kill, they didn't really make much progress.

As a former jg main that is a really iffy lane to gank, because if yall are playing back like that the leona can just have all her cds up to lock me down if i go in, and then yall who spam pinged me to come to your lane will now ? ping and flame.

And thats doubly true if you were chunked out a bit by the mf.

It is not the junglers task to win your lane but to soak XP and Gold from the jungle and go for objectives.

Ganking lanes is optional.

Why the hell would the jungler gank this lane. Enchanters have terrible gank setup, and the adc lacks CC too. All your lane wants to do is scale into the mid / late game.

Edit: Your jungler is not why you went 1/10 btw.

Engage supports are the reason junglers don't gank bot.

It's not that they don't want to, it's that they won't get much out of it ganking alone.

What will most likely happen is that they get nothing for ganking your lane. Leona is super safe. All engage supports are. They can make mistakes. You can't.

In the worst case scenario, the enemy jungle or mid could come bot and all 3 of you would be getting wiped out because of Leona.

Now, this does not mean bot lane should be ignored, especially if it's getting pressured hard.

What most good junglers would do is pressure mid to get them ahead. As good as Leona is, even she can't turn around a 4 man gank bot lane.

Bot lane still matters so much, especially because of dragon, so if they're behind not much can make up that difference. It's best to work on minimizing the damage their loss is going to do to the overall game, and focusing mid and then going bot is how to do that.

The game will be gone before top starts roaming in most situations, but most low ELO junglers will head top though to get kills. They'll end with a loss, but a really nice KDA.

Not much you can do. You can ask them why they gave up so much, but at the end of the day they're only going to see KDA.

Nami doesn't have terrible gank set up either. Against any other type of champion she sets up ganks well. The problem is that Leona is so tanky and can stop successful ganks early game, so any plays you make are negated.

Its not you.

i played about 6 games yesterday and about all of my ranked games this season have been the other team including mid and top diving /ganking me. Its hard to handle losing 2 or 3 waves of minions per gank. and getting ganked 6 or 7 times before 15 mins. Some times i came handle it and not die others you die on the turret. Then you are soo far behind you are a free kill.

Then you look up and see your jungle is just camping top and not looking at any objectives. I mean all the crap i get because i'm 1/6/4 our adc is 2/4/3. Then their adc is 1/2/7 and support is 1/3/10. its our fault not the 9/1/10 jungle or 5/0/2 mid lane.

This is like EVERY game.

Honestly people just don't understand the game. I only see 5% of jungles or mid truly understand. its about putting your TEAM in the best position. Just a gank can force the laner back and they will lose 2 waves and you will gain 2 waves. Doing that once or twice will have HUGE lane impact. Instead junglers just say dumb things like "its not my job to gank or help"..... uh yes it is. Its everyone job to help anyone get an edge.

I play less and less because i always get the people that are auto filled / nubs. All they do i yell in chat. but never once tried to help or make a difference. Yep its bot fault they have 5 people taking dragon when you are top wondering where he is to gank him. Smiting raptor while elder spawns.

The two problems come from the make turrets weaker and dragon has too much power.

they made it a team game without any reason or way to show off being a team player. The game was fun when we had more balance and counter play from the earlier seasons. Sure things will always be broken. But now LoL is just a toxic wasteland. Things are too broken. So many un-fun to play against champs. They removed counter play for flashy quick games.

They are trying to cater to the instant satisfaction generation. Funny thing is these are the same people that would drop LoL in a sec for something flashier. Don't listen to the board. Who knows who is behind the post. I hear a lot of real life people who are all saying the same thing. This is people i don't always talk to at work but i hear them talk about the game. But when my RF friend i play with.(the other 4 have quit playing) Then about 8 different people who i hear talk about the game in the break room. Something is up. There is about 150 people at my work place.

I play jungle a lot. Here is how I see it...

I am trying to keep up with leveling by farming in the jungle. If I get behind, I am going to have a hard time in the game. When i am farming near a lane, I look for an opportunity to gank. If it is not there, then I keep farming to keep up.

If I see that a lane is having a hard time with their opponent, then i try to put some pressure on to help. But the more time away from farming, the more chance of getting behind. If I am behind, then I become useless.

Often, top lane is asking for help when I am at the bot lane and vice versa - by the time I get there it is too late.

Some games I am in the right place at the right time - gank gank and gank! Some games it just doesn't line up.

I will say this - most junglers always want to help you with a gank - it is the best thing in our game to come running out of the jungle and destroying the opponent!

I don't care - top lane, mid or bot, I will come for the kill if the opportunity presents itself!

Riot's Behavior decisions have dictated that you will be neither educated or flamed because they are the same thing. And it is so because of players like yourself. Junglers have no reason to say anything at all anymore as they are second class citizens and the only choice is to never communicate.

You'll probably find that shaco typically doesn't gank bot. RIOT records ganking points via kills and use it to enforce losses.

Bet you won the game before right? Or had a loss streak just before?
