Revert Talon Q changes

TálØnly··43 votes·3,047 views

Riot pls revert the changes to Talons Q, i dont know about the other Champs that got the same change, but it sucks on talon, it makes his q feels so clunky and his crit q even more since its already clunky.

*I know it was meant to be a buff * but pls revert them it happened so often that talon just didnt AA after the combos to activate his passive!

I mean the changes made in 7.14 (edit)

Agreed, I miss 5/10 kills because my auto doesn't go off when it should. I just stay there like a dumbass doing nothing.

Exactly! Also enemies survive with 3 passive marks and 200hp

Was this change mentioned or is it a bug? surprised me when I played Talon yesterday.

TálØnly1 votes

It was mentioned Talon and many other got the same change. It seems like Talon players are not only suffering from the bug.

Riot say a problem that didn't exist and no one complained about and decided to fuck shit up for alot of people.

Hang on are we talking about this, average game pace/length, or minion block?

Yes.

As far as I can tell, not much should have changed. If you simply Q to a target, they should be AA'd. If you Q and then W mid air, you should AA after W is done channeling. They just made it so that if you queued your W during Q, it wouldn't cancel the W. If this isn't working as intended, then it is probably a bug.

TálØnly4 votes

Sometime his AA are way too late and delayed even when you dont press any button while using his Q. I also asked on the Darius Redditpage if they have the same problem and they dont have this problem with Darius ( his E was changed the same way)

So I dont know if its a bug or not but it negates pretty much 40% of talons dmg just because he doesnt AA.

EinarUlfar11 votes

Definitely not working as intended then. Had several instances since the change in which Talon wouldn't AA following the Q and I was just standing there / running off like a monkey without proc'cing the passive.

Sire Hippington5 votes

I dislike that change not only on Talon, getting in an AA after your gapcloser is just what you naturally want to do to max the burst of your combo.

TálØnly3 votes

Its not like that he never AA, its just the problem that its so inconsistent in this patch. Which lowers the dmg output for all of these champs , there was also no one that complained about this.

agreed xd

Read the patch notes regarding various champs que'ing up a second spell or auto attack during a move.

I think you misspelled Rengar. :)

TálØnly3 votes

I dont mean the rework xd. I meant the 7.14 one

I just read the 7.14 changes. What the hell were they thinking when they decided to make that change lol. It's just a big "fuck you" to whoever plays the effected champions. Riot is back at breaking what isn't broken I see.

TálØnly3 votes

As mentioned i don't know about the champs but talon suffers a lot because of these changes.

This is so incredibly frustrating. There is nothing worse than that feel when you go for a fast mid-team assassination, get all your stacks instantly but then Talon just stands there doing nothing in the middle of the enemy team. Since most of talon's damage comes from his passive, and the champ is so squishy that half a second can make the difference between life and death it goes without saying that you not only fail the assassination, but also get insta deleted (leaving the rest of your team thinking that you are a boosted monkey). Frankly this bug feels game breaking. The worst part is that it probably isn't even intentional, since it still happens occasionally even if you hit Q last (which is supposed to be an AA reset). Rito fix plz.

TálØnly3 votes

Yes it's exactly what happened a bunch of times to me.

LegenDariusGaren2 votes

You notice it on Darius too.

TálØnly2 votes

Yeah, I saw that darius got the same change, so i thought if this is a overall problem the darius mains will also realize it really fast since the AA are also really important for Darius.

l Helios l2 votes

I didn't notice it honestly until you said something. That may be because I force myself to not queue something after the E so I secure that bonus auto.

forist2 votes

Agreed, I've noticed this problem for a couple of games now. It's pretty annoying.

MagikarpIsBoss2 votes

I was thinking about picking talon back up because of this change and lethality buffs, but I guess I wont if its bugged. However, can I still click the target as/after im using my q so I manually get my auto attack in on time?

TálØnly2 votes

Yes but try that when you w+flash+q+r and maybe +ignite

Blåbæret2 votes

Meh. Old Talon was much more fun to play, even got a skin for him. New one is dull as heck. Especially hate his Q now.

TálØnly3 votes

Yeah i liked his old playstyle also alot but the reworked talon is much more rewarding once you put more time in him.

nm10102 votes

Oh this is why it feels like dog doodoo to play Talon... I literally played him for the first time since the rework 2 days ago and thought something sucked about his q.

ChaddyFantome2 votes

This issue was actually present before the coding change. The change simply made it worse somehow.

It seems to be working just fine for me.

"We’re modifying a bunch of abilities so the hidden attack command no longer overwrites spell queueing attempts, but will still work if a second ability isn’t cast."

This is a quality of life buff. I like it. Don't know what problems you guys are having.

TálØnly4 votes

Its bugged or something. Talon doesnt pull of his AA consistently even when you dont cancel it with anything. Maybe you didnt realize or something but its definitly there.

ChaosThief1 votes

If that's a case, then point it out as a bug, not "Revert this cause it's not working" so they can fix it and make it actually help.

TálØnly1 votes

Reventing some coding is easier i guess than finding the problem. Since also no one ever complained about how gapclosers and AA work.

J Epstein1 votes

no, you must suffer the misfortune of reworks just like the rest of us. If Malzahar players can't get a rework, nobody should.

TálØnly3 votes

Talons rework is great in every way possible, I don't want a rework just a fix. They changed some of the coding in this patch for gapclosers thats probably triggering a bug or something like that.

Grubbling Butter1 votes

Darius'sDarius Q also feels clunky even after playing with his rework for 2 years

TálØnly3 votes

It's still not about the rework.
