An Amusing Example (Yi, Sated, Rageblade, Tank)

My first Ranked Game as Master Yi this Season.

First, let me point out some things. I started poorly. I dove Top, died and was lucky Fiora got the Last Hit for the Kill. So I gave up First Blood, but put my Top Lane ahead. As you can see, my Top Lane Fiora was the only one on the Rift that kept up with me by the end.

(What can I say, I gank A LOT before I complete Sated... I just can't force myself to farm at the expense of my Team.)

But the things I wanted to point out where as follows.

I was BEHIND. I was 4/7/3 at one point, and on the verge of full out feeding.

I had the Most Damage in the Game, 31K and 3K more than the 28K provided by our Fiora. I did 11K more damage than the best Enemy at Damage Output. Despite being BEHIND horribly early.

I end with 16K Gold, Tied for Highest Gold... despite being 4th on my Team in CS and only 2 Kills more than Fiora and 3 Kills more than Zed, each who have over 200 CS compared to my lowly 120. I was 6th in the GAME in CS, with Elise being only 10 CS behind me.

So the Interesting parts are that (1) I had so much Gold despite having very limited CS and not really being that far ahead in Kills compared to my Team, and despite being really Middle to Low in CS when viewing BOTH Teams and (2) I did far and away the most Damage despite (a) the Slow Start and (b) not building a ton of Damage.

At some point after being 4/7/3 I netted a Pair of Quadra Kills, one right before we pushed in to Win so that one didn't really help on Items.

Also, interestingly, I finished at Level 17 while both Zed and Fiora were able to cap off at 18.

It wasn't a great game by me, and I made a ton of mistakes, but the HP of the Warmog's and Giant's Belt with the MR and Shield of the Maw really bailed me out. With this I had the On Hit on the Sated helping the Rageblade, and the extra AD of the Maw. I do believe I was trying to get Banshee's to help limit the CC against me since the AD wasn't really hurting at that point, but a Deadman's would have been the route if their Lucian wasn't so far behind.

Just an interesting case of how Item Synergy can come together all of a sudden and swing a really bad individual game into a rather quality one. Don't stop playing, don't stop making up ground. Build for a purpose so when it does come together it means something.
