Is Riot moving servers, or messing with them?

Hi, over the past two days, my ping has been unplayably high. At first I just thought it was due to my own personal internet, so I shrugged it off, waited a few hours, and then instantly noticed the same problem with my ping in the next game. I unplugged my router for about 3 hours, replugged it in, still the same problem.

I then waited a day, played again today. The same problem, but this ridiculous ping has caused me to lose my matches, and even get demoted from S1 to S2 when I was on a winning streak straight to G5.

My question is, are they messing with the servers? I've tried running other games like Overwatch and no other game has given me this problem. Nobody is using my internet, no nothing is running in the background, NOTHING. Only League of Legebds, and my Ping just won't go down. (It's been averaging about 225-230.)

Just so you know my geographical location, I'm in California, more specifically, The Bay Area (SF/Oakland area.). Should I be worried? Is this because of my own internet?

Why did Riot have to move the server from Oregon back in Season 5 :(. I used to play with 15-20 ping, now I play with an average of 115 :'(

No but seriously any infirmation would be aporeciated

they havent announced anything with the servers at all. sry man. i used to have around 85ping before the server move, now after the server move im at about 30ping. for you californians it kinda sucks that they moved the servers, but it lowered ping for about 85% of the community. fair trade off i'd say. anyone who wasnt on the west coast had ridiculous ping, which was kind of unfair
