Nasus gameplay

Recently I've been playing against multiple nasus's and i've come to question how balanced the champ is. His "weak" early game is when he's lvl 1-3. When he hits lvl 6, he can 1v1 80% of the top lane roster. Even in the short games that are expected in this season, he can still ramp up his q stacks quickly and kill any squishy easily. Q every 2 sec, have his e slow u so its impossible to kite, and have him ulti so u deal no dmg. All this and he dosen't even build tank. He's literally an auto attack monster, a champion that deals more dmg than a bruiser, while also being one of the tankiest champions in the game.

His early game is weak, just the elo and level you are playing at, people don't know how to take advantage of his weak early game. His mana cost are high and he barely has the mana to use all his abilities more then twice before going oom, ranged kicks his ass as long as they are smart, a little bit of armor heavily mitigates his damage, and yes, he has to build tank, if you group and try and team fight without dealing damage, you get blown apart.

Basically there are only two ways to beat nasus.

Either pick something that hard outscales him MasterYi Jax at basically all stages of the game

or pick something that crushes him SO HARD in lane and zone him all lane that by midgame he has next to stacks Darius Riven Pantheon

When playing against Nasus you are not playing League anymore. You are playing "keep this dog from ever touching the minions by any means possible". Do NOT ever let him stack and for the love of god LEARN TO FREEZE LANE. This is the biggest mistake I see people do when they pick something aggro into Nasus. They dont Freeze and instead continue hitting him as normal which causes the lane to push undertower where Nasus is protected and he can freely begin his stacking. DO NOT EVER PUSH LANE. If possible keep the lane frozen on your side and force Nasus to use Spirit Fires to collect CS (which will further push the lane in your favor) If you pick a champion with AOE like Darius make sure your abiltiies do not hit the wave and then if a big stack of minions ever do come in contact with Nasus PLAY AGGRESSIVE EVEN WHILE HE IS UNDERTOWER. If you pressure him and force him to choose between stacking minions or trying to retaliate against you then you are succeeding. Coordinate with your jungler if possible to dive the pokey puppy.

ITS OKAY IF NASUS HAS GOLD. ITS NOT OKAY IF NASUS HAS STACKS. THIS IS WHAT HE WINS OR LOSES BY SO BE CAREFUL. AFTER ABOUT 200-300 STACKS AND A TRIFORCE NASUS BASICALLY BECOMES IMPOSSIBLE TO 1v1

I main Kennen and Vladimir and the way I beat him is with phase rush.

I might not really kill him (if he is smart and builds tanky) but I sure as hell am not going to feed him.

Tankiest in the game? That’s a stretch. He’s pretty durable during his ult but that’s about it. He’s incredibly easy to kite as well, so again, not seeing why this is something you’re having a problem with - especially considering the high mobility league in this day and age. Also, it’s his W that slows, not his E. And his Q only has a 2sec CD once he has 40% CDR. He excels in 1v1s, and I will most certainly admit he’s frustrating when he’s ahead but that’s true for most of the league roster so that isn’t really saying anything.

As for your other claims, op.gg stats seem to debunk them.

Nasus currently has a 2.32% pickrate in top lane with a 48.9% winrate. His winrate by game length doesn’t even eclipse 50% until 30-35 minutes, so this idea that he’s suddenly ramping up early and carrying isn’t really holding water either. Understand, Op.gg stats aren’t riots official stats and stats in isolation by no means fully represent how strong a champion is. That would, however, require tons of other exhaustive statistical tests, but we can at least make some inferences based on the stats we do have. And those stats suggest Nasus is fine, perhaps even slightly underpowered (which makes sense given the current meta).
