Improving New Match History - An accurate portrait of individual impact and game flow
At the beginning here I want to say that I am largely happy with the new match histories that are available. It is very convenient to be able to view my recent matches directly through league rather than using another website. However there are a few things that I think could be improved.

The simple match history should still be accessible in the client itself. I've seen other comments about this before and I agree. The expanded and detailed history is awesome but you should have to click a different button on the match history to open the detailed one, rather than it automatically opening a new window.

Assists should be shown as a major part of the details. Similar to kills/deaths/gold/wards assists are a large part of a TEAM game, and I emphasize the team there. Assists should be shown in a pie chart like other game information as well as on the match overview timeline. It is confusing when looking at a section of the overview and you can't decide if you were involved in the action at that moment because you didn't get a quadrakill. As the kills are already arranged vertically the addition of the assist pictures wouldn't necessarily even crowd the image. It could be done the same way it is in game.

On a similar note assist should be shown on the heatmap as well. For most supports (a critical and underappreciated role) the map is either useless or depressing as it might show 1 kill and six deaths. This is not an accurate representation of a player's impact on the game especially if that player was supporting. This could be shown as another color or by allowing the player to select if they want to see Kills/Deaths/Assists or any combination on the heatmap.
I would love to see a Red's response to this and any insight into what is going to be done to the match history, if anything.
