Riot, I've got a question.
First I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time to read this.
Like the title says I have a question, and it pertains to the change to the buff camps in the 2017 season. Your removing the smaller monsters in those camps, it may not seem like a big change to most players but I main jungle and this will affect me a fair amount.
The reason this affects me so much is because of a play I use that can cripple the enemy jungler as well as hurt the whole team if I get away with it, and this play uses the small monsters from the camp.
What is this play? Well, when I steal a buff camp from the enemy, I leave behind one of the small monsters. Why? Because that gives me the buff while it stops the buff from respawning till five minutes AFTER they finally clear it!
This is a very powerful play due to the fact that it keeps them from getting that buff (and a little gold/XP) for so long. It's also not an over powered play as it can be countered fairly well if you ward your jungle and keep an eye open (I've also had team mates finish clearing the camp in solo when they're unfamiliar with this play which is annoying).
As for why development would make this change, I've no clue. Maybe to make clearing easier? But that doesn't seem worth it if it means removing such a great strategy.
My point being I'm rather sad I'll no longer have this strat at my disposal, as it has always served me well.
Since I haven't seen anyone else post a thread on this I doubt that just one person could persuade development to leave the little guys in their happy home.
As there is little I can do about this, I would like to at least know why this change is being made. which brings us to my question.
Why are the small monsters being removed?
P.S. This turned out a bit longer than I planed so sorry about that. I hope to hear from you soon. And one more time, thank you.
