Is Lablanc really "the Deceiver"?

Well lets take a look at the two things that make her deceptive.

(I would like to point out this is assuming she's being played at a standard level of play, I'm aware that this doesn't even begin to cover advanced or exceptional uses for her kit)

We'll start with Distortion: Distortion is a Flash with a range of 600 units, does damage on impact and gives you 4 seconds to recall to the original cast location. It mainly provides damage and a way to re-position, but also gives you great deceptive abilities if played right. However in a fight the best strategy is usually just to poke, harass, and finish off you opponent. The actual deception with Distortion doesn't usually come in until you use it to escape, the amount of outplay you have when being chased is great especially since you can re-position FOUR times if you use Mimic in conjunction with Distortion.

Mimic: The initial cast doesn't do anything until you use another ability. On casting Shatter Orb, Distortion, or Ethereal Chains, a clone will spawn, cast a harmless copy of your selected spell, and remain for 2.5 seconds in which time you can control it. The ONLY deception here is in that 2.5 seconds after the cast. The applications for this are limited to say the least, but not useless as it can absorb some damage that would have otherwise been directed at you. On casting Mimic a second time, a clone is spawned up to 25000 units away that will run towards the nearest enemy and cast a harmless copy of your most recently used ability. This is ONLY used as means of deception (unless you've discovered its true purpose as a way to scout out the nearest enemy champ :P)

Now Riot has stated that her rework aimed at balancing her so she was a bit less bursty, and to make her more deserving of the title "the Deceiver". So let's take a look at the changes.

The only changes we're concerned with here are the ones to her deception, as Distortion hasn't really changed that leaves us with Mimic and her old passive. Lets get into it.

LaBlanc's old passive spawned a clone when her health got low, could be controlled, and lasted for just a few seconds. In comparison now her ult + Q, W, or E spawns a clone that can be controlled, and lasts for a few seconds. The only REAL change there is when her clone spawns, when her health got low vs when she uses her ult. Shadow of the Rose on the other hand (double ult) is where the real improvement comes in, allowing you to make you enemy's think you're somewhere that you not for just a moment (or to locate that pesky counter jungler).

All in all the rework on her kit was definitely an improvement, however I couldn't help but ponder this little possibility.

What if on the initial cast, instead of the spell waiting for a follow up it spawned the clone then and there? It would still perform as it did before but could be controlled for a few seconds before casting the follow up (which the clone would still harmlessly copy).

I believe this would allow for some very interesting outplay possibility's as you move in for an attack.

Let me know in the comments what you think of it, if you can think of some cool ways you could use this mechanic, or anything else that comes to mind after reading this!

P.S. If I hear from a Riot employee that would make my day! (even if you hate the idea :P)
