This game isn't fun anymore

I've been playing since season 1, and I've always loved league of legends, but this season has made me resent the game. I will always be a part of the league of legends community, and be watching streamers and lcs, but theres no longer any reason for me to play.

Disregarding the fact that Riot refuses to balance the aids champions like Ekko Yasuo , and the game is often decided by RNG when a team gets ahead and gets 3 straight fire dragons, this game has turned into a team based snowballing mess that leaves an average player feeling like they have no impact on the game.

Too many games have been played where i start 2/0/0 in top lane, or the mid lane, or even as an adc, but I still can't impact the game. I understand the game is balanced around objective control now, and team play, but as a solo player its impossible to control any of those things alone, at my skill level. Every game has 1-2 players that wander the map aimlessly, dont communicate, and get caught several times, and winning with one or two on your team is nearly impossible. You end up playing 3 v 5 or 4 v 5, against a team with 5k extra gold gained from your wandering team mates. It's just hard to enjoy a game that relies so heavily on a random group of 4 players you are assigned every game.

I miss the good ole days of winning your 1 on 1 match up in lane, taking a tower or two, and then winning your team fights. While the game may have evolved for the better with its team play, I no longer have any fun.

Wondering If im the only one

You're not the only one, for so many reasons, many more than you have even posted about (but know about like Yasuo knockup not being affected by tenacity and the lowered in game visibility of some of changes such as this) this game is not as fun as it used to be. Many players have told me that they now have more fun trolling games than actually trying to win them. Que times are going to get longer and balance keeps getting worse for the average player but better for the pro scene and LCS (who have literally stated that they play custom games outside of the regular in game option to que up). I miss the days when champion mains were relevant and actually learning in depth about certain champions was fun to watch and do but now I watch pro streamers where they do AMAZING and their team happens to shit the bed and there is no way they could come back even at their skill level; this recently caused one of my fav streamers TheRainMan to intent feed on stream.

I miss the ability to 1v1 outplay and then have impact on the game as well, you've pretty much put the nail in the coffin on this one, upvoted.

You're not the only one. This season was awful. I blame dynamic queue mostly. Riot really screwed the pooch. Most of my friends quit at the beginning of the season. I recently quit myself. I guess I'm the optimist of the bunch. Held out as long as I could hoping for the best.
