AP version of black cleaver and randuins ?

Lot of ad bruisers top lane who synergies with black cleaver does a ton of dmg, like wukong and can still be quite tanky, can we have an ap version of black cleaver ?

for example xxxxx item

Little bit of AP some amount Hp maybe also some amount of mana ? and unique passive is reduce target MR of every spell damage.. and does not proc off DOT spells... or should it ?

also lot of DPS ap mages has ridiculous damage where tanks cant seem to stand long in fights, such as azir, full ap teemo, what about an ap thornmail or randuins ? ap version of the randuin could reduces x % of magic damage taken ? a similar passive for randuins but for magic dmg and not crits.

Well, there is still an item that comes very close to be an AP version of The Black Cleaver: item 3091

Unfortunately it is only really useful on a few champions like Kayle, Teemo, Lulu... And even then they would rather build other items.

Yeah and it's more of an onhit item anyways.

Also, it removes a flat amount of their magic resistance, unlike the Black Cleaver which removes a percentage of their armor (so it is always useful no matter how much armor they build). So it falls off if the enemy builds magic resistance items.

The problem with suggesting an AP Cleaver is that most mages don't actually rely on multiple hits to deal their damage. They usually throw a 3-4 hit rotation, and then it's over until the cooldowns finish. And, for the AP champions that are repeat strikers, most of them are melee and tanky, and Riot's been working on an Abyssal Scepter change that suits them better than Void Staff.

And % magic damage reduction is, frankly, unnecessary on an item. Just pick up MR, because that's quite literally what you want. There are multiple MR items that suit each build path, with benefits that most anyone can use without much difficulty or inefficiency.
