Panick last item purchase. What should I have done.

So my previous game was a nightmare (was playing on my secondary account Winters Kindred) So I was playing kindred and we were behind from the start. Their jungler kept me from getting my marks so I focused on farming. Well my team got the idea and started to farm back into the game.

They had a fed jacye who was doing soo much damage. I bought guardian angel to help but he was still a major threat and the game was at a point that one team fight would have lost use the game.

So as I managed to steal baron from 4 of them I recalled and was faced with what last item should I buy my mind instantly went to Maw but then I thoight to myself that they didnt really have any AP champions that were a threat so I I was quickly looking through and I saw streaks gage. I heard someone say its like maw but for AD related burst and jayces burst was what I was scared of.

I believe the item along with kindreds ult kept me alive in the final fight but I still cant shake that I bought that item out of,panic.

What should I have built as a last item instead against this team comp? Just looking for advice.

Thanks for taking the time

Now I'm just a silver scrub here, but honestly I notice one glaring issue with the build and that you have 0 life steal.

The trick to beating most tanks, and for the most part AD burst casters like Jayce, is sustained combat.

Sure Jayce can come in tits blazing really to just lick your nethers but, you can survive the burst with your trusty ult, and then proceed to counter trade back the damage healing off what he dealt.

I would have gone either a bork, or a deaths dance.

Bork would have helped you fight off mundo and thresh more than help you deal with jayce in specific, and deaths dance would have let you mitigate some of his burst (30% of his burst to be exact) and give you a chance to soak that shit back up.

I also 100% would have kept blood razor, and dropped maybe the RFC and focused more on being able to duel and split push rather than deal team wide damage (Since twitch's job is already that)

Thats just my 2 cents, really id have to see the actual gameplay to see if the issue could have been solved with a rotational mistake or simple positioning error (Since those are a lot more common than you'd think with carries and such.

Hope this helps?

Honestly one of the first things I thought of was life steal but mundo had thornmail and, jayce had executioners calling so I just didn't think that wiuld have been a super cost effective purchase. Again steraks was a panic buy but in my head, life steal just wasnt super viable in the last 5 minutes we were facing

Yeah with mundo and thornmail its risky but the % hp far overcomes the damage back from thornmail, and I believe EC only procs on basic attacks so the first burst might not affect you? Also skirmishing smite is great for trades

Even if the enemy has gw, you need some form of lifesteal if you're going to go into such a crit heavy build like that. Lifesteal is the bread and butter defense for crit builds. You'll likely be able to survive large burst using your ult and then healing after the fight. It also helps you to push your advantages after a fight. it makes it much easier to take objectives even if one or two of the enemy champions survived.

I would have swapped zerkers for tabis and got death's dance instead of sterak's honestly.
