I'm a bronze player trying to climb, and I thoroughly enjoy supporting, but I'm not climbing. I need another support but I dont know what supports are good for low elo. I have thresh, leona, janna, shen, alistar, annie and morgana. I can't climb very well no matter what role i play. I know it's my fault and I'm working on it. But what's the best support for low elo? Is bard even worth buying or should I get braum, sona, nami or someone else?
Support can be a hard role to carry a game and climb in. Your success often depends on whether your ADC can take advantage of what you set up for him (if he can't you typically focus on supporting a better teammate). If you're set on climbing as a Support though, figure out what style of play suits you best; is it backline sustain, tank, engage, damage etc? Once you figure that out you can start focusing on mastering it.
If you're not sure you want to pick up a champion, try to spectate people playing them. The client hosts high elo games to spectate on the front page on the bottom right, or you can watch Twitch streams and LCS.

Blitzcrank can win bot lane just by standing in a bush and threatening Q. You don't even have to cast it most of the time; the opponents will zone themselves just because you exist.
Though, granted, it is best if you do, indeed, know how to land skillshots. You will have to grab people at least on occasion.
Karma is in a really nice spot now. She work with Poke carries because she has great poke with Q, her W gives her kill potential, her E is good against poke and above all, ganking a Karma lane is quite hard, unless the enemy jungler is a exceptional ganker ( Shaco for instance)
On top of it, her Ap ratios are great and she does massive damage, I suggest her
Save Bard for higher elo. Teammates in low elo have no clue how to properly work with him. At least that has been my experience.
As for strong supports, Janna, Thresh, Alistar, Annie, Braum, and Morg are good at all ELOs. Nautilus is very strong right now plus you can play him top or jungle. Blitzcrank is hard to place, he can be game changing or game breaking depending on how good you are on him. Sona is very good, but can be abused by some teams. Nami is the jack of all trades, pretty good at everything, but not great at anything.
Support in General is a hard role to use for climbing out of Elo hell. As you have fewer tools to impact objectives. (save for the wards).
I would recommend High damage supports like Karma and Sona. Something that can chunk down half a carries health. It also helps if your champ has wave clear. (Cause your laners won't do it. Their too busy chasing kills.)
