Can we talk about 6.3 for a moment?

Patch 6.3 Notes

Please refrain from opening this thread, if all you want to say is "You didn´t even play on it yet!". This is a theoretical discussion.

The first point I want to tackle is this: > Illaoi WORTHY SOULS: Fixed a bug where Fiora could Riposte the application of the Vessel debuff as it flew towards her

Now what is Riot saying here. Fiora should not be able to Riposte Illaois E (the acutal debuff, not the active component). But why is it, that Fiora should be unable to Riposte this particula ability? Because the conditions to apply it are "harder" than they are on debuffs that other champions want to give her?

Don´t get me wrong, I LIKE that Fiora is unable to Riposte the debuff. I DISLIKE the fact, that other debuffs (especially those that are hard to apply like Illaois E) simply disappear when she uses Riposte. This is no difficult debuff to apply, but why does Taric E disappear when she uses W? It´s basically glowing stuff in a different color that´s flying towards her - yet why is there a difference?

The second point is this: > Zed DAMAGE AMPLIFICATION: 30/40/50% of damage taken ⇒ 25/35/45% of damage taken

So this change weakens Zeds ultimate. Pretty straightforward. I´m ok with Zed nerfs. But WHY are they nerfing his ultimates DMG??? There are literally a myriad of things that´d be better than flat out dmg-reduction.

There´s a lot of discussion going on about Zed here on the boards, and some of it is really intelligent. But almost noone complained about the DMG from the ultimate. I get that Riot isn´t addressing the problem of frustration Zed brings to his enemies (better poke than most AP mids, easier CS´ing, hard to gank, no mana restrictions, etc.), but I still feel that this nerf doesn´t hit ANY of his problems (even the ones that´ll maybe come with the new item).

The third thing I want to touch on is the dragon (the acutal one, not Shyvanna): > DRAGON'S WRATH (2ND STACK)+15% damage to turrets and buildings ⇒ Basic attacks burn turrets for 10-180 over 2 seconds.

How does this work? I mean, if 5 players gather mid at lv 10 and attack the enemy turret with 1 aa each. **Would the turret recieve 500 burning dmg??? ** Or is this a single DoT that can be applied and then runs out? If the latter, what happens when a player with a higher lv attacks the turret? Would the dmg increase? Would nothing happen?

The clarity really isn´t strong in that one.

Maybe some of you want to enlighten me with answers/opinions, or simply write "LoL you didn´t even play on it yet!".

Regards

Fiora was Riposte'ing the application of the Vessel debuff, not the tentacle. This is fair.

Fiora being unable to Riposte Taric stun would be absolutely stupid. Laughable comparison.

So this change weakens Zeds ultimate. Pretty straightforward. I´m ok with Zed nerfs. But WHY are they nerfing his ultimates DMG???

Because they overbuffed it the last time they tampered with it and it is by all accounts a completely acceptable half-revert when the effort needed to all-in at level 6 became tremendously less.

The Zed nerf is negligible at best. Taking the patch into context it does almost nothing. I think it should have been way harder.

As for Fiora not getting touched and Poppy receiving a love tap it's kind of ludicrous. Everything else seemed pretty spot-on imho. Ziggs and Kog-maw got some much needed love. We will need to wait and see. Only time will tell.

I think the Illaoi thing is fair

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-o2aNFx47y4 it is referring to the visual indicator after the soul thing dies at 8 seconds. Not the actual cast of the ability. If she could parry it it would mean she would have two chances to parry the same ability. Which is a little unfair.

This makes it "nope you got hit, should have parried the cast" I feel like it is now on the same grounds as your taric example not being favored. You can look at the old functionality as "Hey malz I didn't parry your space aids but it's cool I parried the 3rd tick of damage"

I'm cool with the Dragon buffs infact I think they could be a very healthy addition to the game IF they buff the towers. Make towers a threat but than give a contestable objective that one of the two teams will get to remove / reduce that threat. Boom problem solved towers are relevant but games won't be a stall fest.
