Yes. Yes! A thousand times YES!
Many times I have thrown a ward into the bush so an ally Vi or Cait can lock target and make the kill. Without the vision that I provide the kill would never have been made.
But how would riot control this in a way that isnt just line of sight = assist?
I think taking damage from someone who your teammate just killed should give you an assist. You kept their attention and it obviously wasn't a 1v1...
Nice try, but probably won't happen, although maybe some extra gold for your troubles wouldn't hurt. lol
