Leona Passive

You guys just posted this into the client, and while it is a great example of how well Leona can do when not played as a support, I feel like Leona would benefit a lot more in all roles, if she could proc her passive herself, instead of relying on a teammate to do it. I just played a game of Leona jungle (and won after I dc'd lol), and the whole time I was clearing camps I was thinking; "Leona works as a jungle, yeah it's proven, but she totally loses out on her passive until she ganks a lane." I don't know if it would create an imbalance in her kit, but I just think it would be really cool for her solo lane and jungle, and even support so she can proc that passive if her adc can't follow up to secure the kill or something like that.

I'm pretty sure Riot is smart enough to never, ever do this. It hurts Leona's balance, her thematics, the way she's intended to be played, and the way people like to play her. Literally nothing good can come from it.

That basically disables the full damage part of the passive since Leona is in melee range of targets when her passive is applied and is probably auto attacking.

You could argue that it would be a way to add more skill to Leona in order to maximize that damage, but possibly getting in an extra auto by not canceling your swing will probably add more damage plus it isn't very fun or intuitive to maximize your damage by not attacking.

Could have it be half damage if its reapplied, that way only her abilitys trigger it.

Or not and then Support Leona's top end wouldn't need to be nerfed around it.

Im happy with leo as is. That being said i enjoy doing theory work so if we are to engage in hypothetical buffs i think that the auto attack trigger would be to strong and thus a trigger from her abilitys would be better. Even if it was just something like putting a single trigger in her kit on say Q or E. Good leo's will typically space out her skills so that they maximize their teammates opportunity to trigger her passive.
