My Toaster Could Preform Better Matchmaking.

Nothing like getting to promos, and then getting paired with teams full of toxicity. It's not even that my teams suck, it's that the enemy teams I'm against are just so much better.

Like, I understand I have a high mmr, and I understand that means i'm going to get matched against tougher opponents, but seeing 4-6 golds in every game when I'm only silver 4 is just not fair. If you think I'm playing at a gold level, then give me a gold rank. Don't force me to play against teams of practically all gold especially at the lower half of my silver games. Why should having a high mmr being an inhibitor to ranking up? I just don't get it.

Seriously, Riot seems to think high win rates are cancer or something because ever since I brought my win rate from 30% after promos to 66% in 30 games, I've been matched with team mates who int, AFK, DC, <50% win rates, and flame all game. And, I've been matched against teams with 2-4 golds, >50% win rates and excel on their champions. I'm a support main! 66% win rate does not mean I should be able to carry 3 team mates who would rather flame all game against a team of golds.

The way I see it, is rank has to play a larger role in match making than mmr does. I totally get why MMR exists and its role in matchmaking, but it also presents many more problems when it gets out of hand like this. Let me get to silver 2 or 1 before you start flooding my games with a bunch of golds.

The last thing I'll say, is I have no problem being paired with teams that are under powered against the enemy team. But I do have a problem of getting paired with toxic teams against a stacked enemy team.

The bigger question is can rito toast bread for you? Because if that's the case, then having them "swap roles" could prove to be an interesting idea. DrMundo

_The way I think promotional games should work are: _

  • You are either paired with people who are above your rank or are EXACTLY equal in MMR.
  • You are guaranteed your main role. (secondary doesn't exist for this)
  • If your team shows attributes of intentional feeding or heavy toxicity, you should be given a loss prevented.

I just feel as though this makes it equal playing field when it comes to promotional games. You're paired with harder opponents and you'll prove that you can manage to play with the high elo. Also when people find out you're in series they may decide to intentionally feed so you do not complete them.

My solution: Tier-locked ranked games while still utilizing hidden MMR so that LP gains and losses are the same as it is now. Master and Challenger would be considered same tier.

Last game there was one person in gold, who was gold 5, and they were on your team. The game before that, no golds. The game before that there was a gold 5 on their team. I don't think 2 gold 5 players in your last couple games counts as "flooding all your games"

I don't know man. I think it's just luck. I've turned my 48% winrate to a 59% winrate over the course of 126 games. I have a shit mmr for some reason and I'm just getting matched up with and against people that are high silver low gold. Maybe it's just luck.
