Cho Gath Rework was a failure?

So after a few days of the reworked cho gath being on live I feel like the rework hurt him more than it helped him out. I noticed that this actually killed jungle cho gath. The cooldown refund made his clears fantastic and the diying was not as punishing as you expect since u could get 3 stacks in like 2 mins. Now you get like 10-15 stacks without feeling useful. Before Cho gath spiked when he got his 6 stacks in mid game. That powerspike is gone and delayed until you cant even feel it anymore.

Do you think buffs can solve his issues?

You haven't played against a good one yet then. All he has to do is build like all the other tanks do now and get last hits with his ult in team fights for free health that doesn't go away and stacks infinitely

It's not a failure, even if it did leave Cho'Gath feeling weaker - hell, Riot even acknowledged that they made Cho'Gath weaker early on and make his Feast more powerful in the late-game - and even still, failing that, they at least laid a groundwork for further improvement on him. Nothing Riot does is a total failure, they will always have something to fall back on when they do these changes.
