Twitch Quality of Life, attention

Personally I can't claim to be a masters level player. But I am a big twitch fan, and I can't help but feel how weak he is in lane, and the jungle twitch play (usually the refuge for underpowered niche champs) is weak as well. When he was switched to a solely an adc role, he received something like 10 nerfs, his whole kit, to gain something like 20 range on his auto attack. I know twitch has a good late game, but he rarely carries his weight until he gets there, and even then needs several tanks to save him, with his poor escape (stealth delayed until 5 seconds later if he takes dmg).

What I am suggesting is simple. Three things.

  1. Up his passive some. Only like +1 or +2 dmg per second at level 1(I believe his level 1 passive dmg is 1 dmg per second which is silly and almost unnoticeable).

  2. Give W some of its own dmg (2 stacks of his passive is almost jokey). If you are concerned about twitch doing too much late game dmg, make it magic dmg that doesn't scale well. Something like 50 magic dmg per rank, or 75 magic dmg and 30 per rank afterward. This will help him farm and keep the bottom lane from constantly jumping on him. Right now, most games I see, adcs and support dont even bother dodging Twitch W unless they think a jungle gank is coming, they literally stand still and keep farming. 2 passive stacks and a level 1 to 3 expunge are not hurting anyone enough.

  3. Slight Mana cost reduction for E. 5 to 10 at most.

Just reading lolking, twitch's popularity has dropped tremendously :( and if a champ is weak, or perceived as weak, then popularity will drop. Let's all see twitch played more! (and more skins bought, and perhaps more skins created).

i also love twitch, but what you're asking for is to buff his early game, which is a no no. twitch is one of the best if not THE best late game ADC, he has the potential to shred, and pick a squishy off, at an 850 range, thats monsterous.

what you have to realize what twitch is good at, and thats assassinating, no other adc can do it as well as he does. you stealth up behind someone, and you just kill them, bam 4v5, done and done.

twitch wants to initiate, if you have to "escape" you've already lost the fight as twitch.

Every viable ranged adc has some form of hard cc and a reliable escape, and even Vayne has instant stealth, Twitch has an initiation for a gank but no real escape other than flash, Hoping twitch somehow gets magically fed from somewhere (seems like you admit his early game is terrible) and then "shreds" a team that lines up for him and doesn't move. None of that is going to happen in mid to high elo games. Thanks for the reply.

twitch doesn't get fed, he stays even on farm all game by turret hugging and plays mostly passive, if an opportunity comes up he has the potential to put out better than any other adc.

its just that LCS players value safety and consistency over potential, they would rather have a team which is proven to win lane time and time again rather than a comp that prepares for the late game.

its the exact reason why a team like malphite, j4, twitch, janna, and galio isn't even considered, all 3 lanes are destined to lose, but come late game they would have plenty of wombo combo potential and just end the game whenever they wanted.

also, they way you said "viable" you're matching up 1adc vs 1 other adc, thats not how league works.

do you know how deadly a level 1 twitch is to an enemy mid laner?

I dont think you are right. Draven can pour out dmg better than twitch's. i think you are dreaming of those old 50 minute games, where everyone has full gear. Twitch, like Kog, has temporary long range on an ult, and no real escapes, and a really weak slow. They aren't picked because they aren't good enough.

Yup and he has better cc and mobility then twitch as well.

Ya i would rather wish for twitch to gain utility on his w like a snare for x amount of seconds.

Well he has a weak slow on it now, but yeah, like I said, no one even bothers to dodge it most of the time. Weak passive, no direct dmg on W makes it kinda of a joke ability.

what you're missing though is that twitch has range on draven, twitch would win or command an instant flash off of draven. twitch's purpose is to reach their back line and position himself correctly to do so.

this is a picture of the first 3 games i played as twitch this season, warm up games for when i decide to play him in ranked.

the first game i would have naut engage and peel for me, we worked quite well together. got super fed off of graves. the second game i was kinda stuck waiting for ganks, we couldn't do much against jinx/braum so i farmed till 6. I would start to invis and wait for a nami bubble. she would land it and we went ham on jinx. the third time was absolute hell, my morg was.,..... "unranked" and constantly throwing down soil on my back line taking cs and pushing the wave. and our mid lane velkoz was dcd, we had to wait for super late game for vel to come back at the 25min mark. then we turtled and waited for vel to get up to level, then we started waiting for team fights.

twitch's win condition is simple - ult their carries. and let your team mates handle the front line.

MB i knew i had a 4th game somewhere
