Illaoi is NOT too bad

So i'm level 5 Illaoi and when i play games with her they cry and cry about it. But in all honesty, she cant get away easily, she can be countered by any snare, stun, knock-up, and people who can jump to stop her ult.... That's about 80-90% of all league champs. Is her damage high? Yes. Why? Because her q is slow, her ult can be counter easily, and her e can be blocked even more easy. I just don't know why people go on discussions and complain about her or whine in game on why she is so OP. Can anyone truly explain how shes so op and needs to be changed because i personally think she is fine and if anything just needs a new ult instead? She is a God. Why cant we make it a global ult like karthus where her tentacles rise up and hit people like that or drag them, or stun them, or something.

I'm an actual Illaoi main. She is very balanced at this point in time. The ones crying about her being op, blindly run at her and ask why they died.

When you act stupid, you counterplay yourself.

She's OP because her ult is horribly designed, meaning that you CANNOT fight her or (her team later) if she uses it, so fucking dumb...

She's basically 'balanced' right now solely due to the fact that her hard counters are OP and being spammed right now.

Annoying to play against =/= OP is all I have to say to all the people complaining about Illaoi. Mostly because I stand on the same words as a Yasuo main that enjoys all the salt flowing through the community. Her tentacles are easily side-stepped, her E as well (this is also blocked by minions). Her ult is immediately reduced in effectiveness once her targets disengage / chain CC her to hell and back. She's slow with almost no gap-closers (if you can call W an effective gap-closer). Exec's Calling / Ignite / Morello's will destroy some of her sustain, especially when she ults.

That being said, Illaoi is very annoying, especially in the hands of someone who know's what they're doing; just like how Yasuo's extremely annoying.

She is fine in current meta cause jayce, kennen, Quinn, gnar etc can easly counter her and she leaves enemy ways to outplay her. If it comes to ult they May not want to make it global I guess mostly because it doesn't fit to her kit and would be overpowered or useless.

Illaoi is the poster child of good design. She is strong in certain situations, all of them being mostly avoidable, rather than just being based on whether she is fed. The other day I played Gnar against Illi, and despite me keeping her from winning top lane she carried- for one simple reason. My team grouped up into a tight ball every teamfight, and didn't even attempt to stop her from getting in the middle of it. You know what Illi looks like with 6 tents?. They didn't know how to play against her. I have mastery 5 on Illi too, and while she is usually oppressive, good counterplay and patience will completely stop her.

Illaoi can counter the cc to however with Ulti she becomes cc immune and then you can kill someone in 1 w after you e'd them assuming you are maxing correctly

I actually really like playing against her. Everything she does can be countered, but if she does her setup well she gets rewarded. I just never really feel like anything she does against me is BS.

She falls into a category of champions that are not fun to play against because they reward you for making mistakes that would get any other champion killed, other people in this tier include Irelia Ekko Zed you'll notice most of these have one thing in common which are oops i made a mistake ability's stacked on top of or the same as massive sustain abilitys.

In short nobody likes playing vs champions where the only correct decision is to do nothing and leave every time.

take away the stupid mini game passive: I sweat riots getting shit from mario party because this tentacle this is so dumb. they're destoyed so easily and serve more to just give your opponent 10 extra gold in lane.

Change the e Its a crap ability, easily dodged and even when hit it really doesn't do a ton

change the ult Ok this ult is in the same vain as nunu ult, you need to be brain dead or cc'ed for 20 years to get hit by it.

I like her passive lol but hands down i agree with the rest of what you said
