It's usually a 50/50 chance that the champ will be extremely underpowered 
Or slightly overpowered 
To me it seems like you guys balance the champ somewhat fairly by the next patch, I think it'd be great if these champs were at-least given a week before being playable in ranked.
I will have to agree that there are bugs that need to be fixed that the beta players don't find >.>
The one argument u will to this is their learning how to use them so they arnt that good yet but after around 4 or 5 games with most champions is plenty of to learn them..
I agree with your solution but not your point. The recent champs aren't necessarily weak, people just suck with them. They shouldn't be allowed in ranked immediately because you should be practicing in the champion for a while before playing them in ranked, so you know their mechanics and don't suck with them. That said, if they weren't allowed in ranked riot would lose a lot of the first week higher priced sales... so I doubt it would happen.
