Attack Range and Distance

I personally have always been confused with the distance measurement in this game. When I'm told that a skill knocks back a unit 600 distance, or I move at 350 distance per second (or however movement speed works) it has never made a lot of sense. The reason for this discussion is to see if and how many people feel the same about it, and to come up with a suggestion to Riot to make this easier to understand. The inspiration for this topic comes from Tristana's Passive, which increases her attack range by a negligible amount per level, that eventually adds up to a minor difference. I couldn't really tell you how far she could shoot before, or how far she can shoot after, but I thought it would be great if hovering your mouse over her passive would give you a circle showing you the range, which would allow players to be more precise in their gameplay, knowing exactly how much space they had to work with. This is all I really have to say about it, and so I leave it to the community at large (probably a horrible decision, but maybe I'll be wrong). Good luck to you all in the Rift.

To my knowledge, and perhaps yours, hovering over your AD statistic (or one of the stats) will show your attack range similar to the way it'd show an ability's. Also, as far as measuring distances, pretty much everyone is just as confused as you are. To make it at least a LITTLE simpler, most people use the unit of Teemos, as one "Teemo" (the size of Teemo's body) is exactly 100 units. This kinda helps measure distance. A little. I guess.
