Rakan Jungle

Ever since Rakan was released I have always loved the idea of taking him jungle. After the 8.5 buffs he's a tiny bit closer to it being viable. Riot has been recently talking about wanting to let champs have a little more freedom in where they go, and they want xayah and rakan to be viable without each other. So make rakan be able to proc his heal off jungle creeps and give his w bonus damage to jungle creeps or a little better ap scaling. Or devise an item that opens the door for support junglers. That'd make my day.

exactly so why not give him the jg monster heal back and buff his attack speed a bit and itll be another lee sin

its not like it changes much for him in the support role q already heals and he dose not aa much in lane

It would be nice, but i get the feeling riot is too busy trying to balance primary roles to add additional roles and then deal with the resulting balance shifts.

At least it happens sometimes when community demand gets large enough, ie jungle ekko.

true however that small tweak to make the q heal him and the like 5 or 3 % atackspeed buff should be pretty easy for them to do because rn with spellbook and presicion secondary i have a jg clear time of 4 minutes and 30 seconds after jg monsters spawn so the full clear was actually 3 minutes if i run electroute and precision secondary i can get the camps done in 3 minutes and 30 seconds but with both runes sets i have no health to gank

would be stupid to force something into a jungle position by changing things. "hey guys let's make Soraka jungle all we need is a few changes to her q healing off monsters and we're ok!"

they said that they will open up champions to other roles that actually make sense for them to be in and it would be healthy for the game. Rakan Jungle needs to many things for it to work in any way that is just not worth trying to make him viable there instead of something like mid lane

I think it makes sense for him to jungle, he'd have awesome ganks. And if they stuck him mid lane then they'd have to buff his damage a lot more. Then you'd have another mid laner pretending to support if he ever goes back bot lane. Exhibit A B and C: Lux Annie

yeah and he would still need to have damage buffs if you want him to jungle so that people don't just invade him and get a free kill on him or if he ever wants to have a clear speed that isn't horrendous.

Also food for thought he is already a support he won't be a mid laner pretending to be a support but a support pretending to be a mid laner. Karma Lulu

I had a full tank rakan jg in one game, his early clear was a bit slow but once he got rolling a bit my god he was an engage legend

Yeah, early clear is the only real problem. And he loses a ton of health clearing. I've played a few games trying to get it to work but it's hard to win with it, enemy team can get an easy lead early.

so i just did a full jg clear with spell book and presicion secondary in 4 min and 30 seconds in practice tool had to start blue buff then gromp then wolves then red buff then birds q drag then krugs

Thats better than I could get, then again I always try it in normal games. Usually the other Jungler is smart enough to counter jungle and just kill me if they see me.

Like with norms you have to have a team that will come help you if you get invaded or use jg monster aggro against them. Ive played it in norms like 20 times and all with different runes but fleet footwork /inspiration is best clear sustain and of the games i used that rune i won like 6 out of 10 you want to early gank as much as possible once you hit lv 3 if you get an get a kill or assist back after that dont go back into your jg buy something then farm again until you see another opportunity to gank /counter gank. an interesting thing to note is that 10 of those games were against kayn for some reason and i won every single one of them

rakan would only need heal procs on jg monsters and a attack speed buff of like 3% to make rakan jg viable like i can get a full clear solo with the right runes at like 4 min 30 sec after they spawn so the clear is really only 3 minutes in practice tool rn
